Amelia put her cape on and tried her best to save Dr. Herman on Grey's Anatomy Season 11 Episode 14.
As such, the installment gave Stacy Glanzman, Amanda Steinmetz, Mary Kate Venedam and Christina Tran plenty to discuss regarding the intricate surgery, Arizona’s confidence and much more.

What was your favorite quote or scene from Grey’s Anatomy Season 11 Episode 14?
Stacy: Amelia and Stephanie doing the “Superman” pose in the scrub room was awesome.
Amanda: I liked Richard giving Amelia the pep talk she needed to get the job done. He was right. She didn’t need Derek, and if he had been there, he wouldn’t have been able to do what she did.
Mary Kate: I agree with Stacy. I thought the “Superman” pose was interesting and knowing Amelia’s character, I can totally see her doing something like that.
Christina: I loved the final scene with Arizona and Herman. I’m hoping we still get to see more of Herman.
What did you like most about Amelia’s intense surgery?
Stacy: I think the most intense part was when she took off the gloves and exposed herself to radiation. I think Amelia really thought she was Superman!
Amanda: I agree with Stacy. I loved Amelia’s determination in that moment.
Mary Kate: I liked Richard’s pep talk. She really needed to hear from someone that she could do something superstar Derek hadn’t attempt. He was right, too, if Derek showed up he would’ve pushed Amelia aside and take charge. Amelia would’ve been furious with herself. She just needed someone to tell her she could do it.
Christina: I’m also with Stacy. Amelia’s hardcore and I loved that she wasn’t afraid to do what needed to be done.
Were you doubtful at all about Arizona filling in for Dr. Herman?
Stacy: Honestly, no. Arizona has been working non-stop and she was confident she could do it. I believed in her and it was nice seeing her stand up to Bailey.
Amanda: No. Honestly I never gave it a second thought. Arizona is a wonderful doctor. I was extremely annoyed with Bailey during the surgery.
Mary Kate: Nope. Arizona is a good doctor in her own right, Herman’s training gave her an edge. She knew that she was trained well by Herman and could be successful even with Bailey’s doubt in the back of her mind.
Christina: 4 for 4! And yes, Bailey was annoying. She can tend to be, though, and sometimes it’s understandable. However, I didn’t doubt Arizona’s confidence and knew she’d pull through.
Do you plan on trying the superhero stance?
Stacy: I can’t really see myself doing that, no, but hey, I say whatever works to boost your confidence.
Amanda: Um, probably not. It was a great scene, and I understood the sentiment, but I don’t think the superhero stance would do that much for me.
Mary Kate: Sure, why not. If I am that nervous, I’ll try and see if it helps. Maybe not in public, but anything to help boost the confidence.
Christina: I don’t think so. I liked the theme, but I just can’t see myself actually following suit.
Meredith hasn’t been narrating the intro and closing for a few weeks now. Pick one character who you’d like to see take center stage next.
Stacy: Jackson or Alex. There hasn’t been nearly enough of them lately. They need a big surgery or something.
Amanda: I feel like a parrot because every week I talk about the lack of Alex storylines this season. Let’s have him narrate!
Mary Kate: Probably one of the many characters we have seen so little of this season, like Jackson, Alex, or Bailey. Especially the guys, there has been very little for them individually, I would love to see them have some attention.
Christina: Alex! Let’s go, writers! We need to see more of him.
