Supergirl Gets Series Order at CBS!

It's official!!

Kara Zor-El is coming to CBS as Supergirl has received an early series order at CBS. Supergirl will be written by Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler and Andrew Kreisberg, names you might recognize from some other superhero shows pretty popular around here.

Melissa Benoist will play Supergirl, who has been hiding on earth since escaping Krypton years ago. Now, as a young woman in her early 20s, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the woman she was always meant to be.

A large, noteworthy cast joined Benoist for the pilot, including Calista Flockhart as Kara's boss, Cat Grant; Chyler Leigh as Kara's step-sister, Alex Danvers; Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen and David Harewood as Hank Henshaw.
