"Ziva David is freakin' alive?," says a member of the team on the official trailer for NCIS Season 17.

Fans have been clamoring for Cote de Pablo's return for quite some time now, so it's great that the series has pulled the trigger and brought her back.

As Gibbs tries to get information from Ziva, they start being shot at from someone outside the house, meaning that Ziva has brought the action with her.

Ziva reveals the person shooting at them is named Sahar and she's decided that Gibbs is also on her hit list.

That confirms why Ziva arrived on NCIS Season 16 Episode 24 in one of the show's biggest twists to date.

There are a lot of twists on the horizon, and the best part of this is that Ziva and Gibbs need to go on the run together to get away from this mysterious new villain.

The rest of the team will have their work cut out for them as they try to find a way to save their friends from this mysterious new figure.

The good thing here is that Ziva's storyline does not conclude with NCIS Season 17 Episode 1.

It will continue further into the season because Cote de Pablo is attached to return in two more episodes.
