Days of Our Lives: Renewed for Year 51!

at .

Fifty years and still going strong!

Days of Our Lives recently celebrated that amazing milestone, and it will get the chance to celebrate more because it's just been renewed at NBC for another year.

The deal may also include an option for another year for the last remaining soap on the Peacock network.

This news isn't exactly surprising, however.

Last month, NBC entertainment president, Jennifer Salke, talked with TV Line about the soap, sharing her satisfaction with the writing team and creative storytelling.

“We’ve been really happy with the show. I’ve been over there seeing Ken [Corday, executive producer] and the team and the new writers. They’re an incredible group and we love the show. They got a [ratings] bump in the fall for their 50th anniversary. There’s a creative resurgence and exciting storytelling going on right now.”

As you know, we love Days here at TV Fanatic, too!

Every week, we not only do a recap of the antics in Salem (which has been on a brief hiatus to take on new ownership), but a Days of Our Lives round table discussion, too!

Make sure you let everyone know how pleased you are with this awesome news!
