1. Emma Swan, Once Upon a Time

Captain Hook was a pirate, living by his own code, never caring for anyone around him. That is, until he became captivated by the savior, Emma Swan. Her initial dismissal of him forced him to take a look at himself and find something in him that Emma would be attracted to. It turns out, Emma didn’t really change anything about Killian Jones, but her feelings for him unlocked the loving and heroic side of this one-time villain who eventually stole her heart.

2. Rory Gilmore, Gilmore Girls

Logan Huntzberger benefitted greatly from his romance with the youngest Gilmore. She was the first girl to make him settle down, she stood by his side when he nearly died skydiving, and they successfully navigated a long-distance relationship. In fact, when we last saw Logan he was breaking up with Rory because SHE wasn’t ready for marriage. This is one guy truly went good for a Gilmore.

3. Blair Waldorf, Gossip Girl

Who better to tame a bad boy than a bad girl? While Chuck played games with Blair, she could easily one-up him, something that he only became more attracted to. While their road to walking down the aisle was full of devious twists and turns, they finally settled down together, and at the very least, dropped their bad behavior when together. But the rest of the world? We’re sure they’re messing with anyone who gets in their way, together.

4. Joey Potter, Dawson's Creek

Joey and Dawson made sense. Best friends, movie buffs, and they both shared the same enormous vocabulary that no teenager ACTUALLY has. When she caught the eye of Pacey Witter, classic screw up, there was no denying their chemical and emotional attraction. Pacey went from being the guy who slept with his English teacher to being an unrealistic expectation for girls everywhere as his romance with Joey truly made him a changed man.

5. Taylor Townsend, The O.C.

After his tumultuous romance with bad girl Marissa Cooper ended, Ryan Atwood was in a dark place, ready to fall off the map, which wasn’t great news for those who loved the Chino bad-boy. But Taylor stuck by Ryan, being his friend and the strong presence in his life when he needed it most. She had her own things to deal with, like an awful ex-husband who was literally ruining her life, but she and Ryan stuck together, and the friends would soon become much more than that, their mature romance bringing out the best in them both. This insecure girl fixed a very broken man, and herself in the process.

6. Zoe Hart, Hart of Dixie

This doctor was the cure for broken Bluebellian, Wade Kinsella! She moved to Alabama to become a better doctor but in the process, she made the town playboy a better man. Wade fell hard for Zoe, and dropped his immature player ways to win her heart, eventually becoming a successful businessman and suitor for the New York City transplant.

7. Elena Gilbert, The Vampire Diaries

Was Damon Salvatore even a real, tolerable, mature man before Elena came into his life? The answer is simply no. Damon fought hard to earn a place in Elena’s heart doing things for her, her family, and her friends that were completely out of character for the darker Salvatore brother. But for Damon, any ounce of change was worth making if it brought him closer to Elena.

8. Jackie Burkhart, That 70's Show

Who knew that Hyde could love ANYTHING? He was a loser, with zero direction, other than snarking at his friends. That is, until he fell for Jackie. Jackie’s brutal honesty with”Steven” often made him sit up straight and realize that being with her made him a better person. He didn’t show his softer side to anyone but Jackie, but we all know that she’s the reason that this bad-boy reformed.

9. Cece Parekh, New Girl

Schmidt was a ladies man who contributed to the loft’s douchebag jar several times an hour. The thought of dating model Cece was a challenge, at first. But as Schmidt got to know Cece, he began to soften his douchebag exterior and stopped making jokes. Cece unlocked the serious and sweet side of Schmidt, and we’re more than excited that she accepted his marriage proposal!

10. Lisa Braeden, Supernatural

When given the chance to stop hunting, there was only one place that Dean Winchester wanted to be; with his one-time love Lisa, the woman who captured his attention in a way that no other woman ever had during his adventures on the road. Dean became a surrogate husband and father to Lisa’s son. Ultimately, she’d never remember what a good family man he became for her, but Dean was forever changed because of Lisa.

11. Lexie Grey, Grey's Anatomy

Her big sister Meredith may have landed McDreamy, but Little Grey did the unthinkable; she tamed McSteamy. While at first she was forbidden fruit, ultimately Mark Sloan wanted to settle down and have a family with Lexie, something no woman before her had ever achieved with the handsome doctor.

12. Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and the City

Mr. Big was New York City’s biggest bachelor, and man oh man, did he live it up. Carrie Bradshaw was one of the many ladies Mr. Big (real name, John,) was courting at any given time, until Carrie realized she didn’t want to be one of many. Her pulling away from him in order to better herself made Mr. Big re-examine what he wanted in his life. He ditched his playboy lifestyle, and settled down so that he could keep Carrie in his life.

13. Amy Santiago, Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Neurotic, OCD, obsessive Amy Santiago doesn't seem like anyone's dream girl. But she caught the eye of Jake Peralta, the guy sitting at the desk near her who needed to grow up. He was childish, silly, unfocused, and selfish. When he fell in love with Amy, Jake decided to grow up...a little. Amy still has some work to do, but Peralta's jokes have been a lot less immature and he's finally sleeping on a real bed thanks to her!

14. Buffy Summers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer

There was once a time when Spike tried to kill everyone in Sunnydale. All of that changed when he fell in love with the Slayer. Her inner and outer beauty, combined with the ability to totally kick his ass, made him want to become a better man. He sought out his soul for her. Though she’d never actually love him the way he loved her, she’s the entire reason that this vamp finally went good.

15. Angela Moore, Boy Meets World

No girl could ever get into Shawn’s heart the way that his best bud Cory could. Until, that is, when Shawn stumbled upon the contents of Angela’s purse. Shawn, a commitment-phobe, immediately fell in love with a girl he didn’t even know as each item in her pocketbook spoke to his heart. Angela became the love of Shawn’s young life, making him see himself differently, and the world he lived in.

16. Juliet Burke, Lost

You were hoping I’d give Kate the credit for Sawyer’s reform? Not so fast. Juliet and Sawyer time-hopped through time and space together in the confusing mythos that was Lost. Apart from the group, they stuck together and very naturally fell in love. Juliet’s lovely behavior rubbed off on the rugged conman and he was a new man, even ditching his scruffy beard that we all loved. Well done, Juliet. You made a great man out of this good man.

17. Lyla Garrity, Friday Night Lights

Lyla had everything a TV trope teen girl could ever want; a great boyfriend, popularity, awesome friends, and she was a cheerleader! All of this and more is exactly why she should have steered clear of Tim Riggins, who was basically the very definition of “bad boy”. Lyla couldn’t stay away and Tim’s wayward heart found direction because of the girl he never thought he’d have a shot with.

18. Veronica Mars, Veronica Mars

Logan Echols is a classic bad boy. From his “don’t care” attitude, to his fights, all the way to his alleged drugs. So what happens when Logan falls for Veronica Mars, a teenage PI who’s a pretty bad-ass girl and also really pretty? He doesn’t ever totally change his bad boy ways, but he keeps them in check for her. He even goes so far as to deliver one of the best “epic” love story speeches in TV history. Thank you, Veronica, for making this guy a keeper.

19. Haley James-Scott, One Tree Hill

Ever the natural born teacher, Haley taught Nathan Scott a lot of things in their tutoring sessions, scholastically. But what she didn’t know she was teaching him was how to become a better guy, a better son, and a better brother, someone who would be worthy of the heart of his sweet and unselfish tutor. Once Nathan showed Haley his new softer side, there was no way she could resist.
