Preacher Series Premiere Sneak Peek

As many of our favorite programs come to an end for the season, it's time to start looking for new ones to occupy that void.

I find pleasure in the out-there and freaky deaky genre of television.

If the dark supernatural is your pleasure too, then you'll  want to take a look at Preacher, which is definitely out there. 

It's also in your face. And, has splatters of humor, too. 

Oh, and there's lots of splatter as well. 

Yes, it's gory. But, it's a lot of fun!

Preacher is based on the 90's graphic novel series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon.

It centers around Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a former outlaw who comes home to Annville, Texas to take over as preacher of his dad's church.

Weird things start happening when a cosmic entity comes to earth and eventually ends up in Custer.

The bodily invasion leaves Jesse with a very powerful power. As in he's really got the "Word of God" in him.

But, lucky for him, he won't have to face all the weirdness alone.

He's joined by his major badass ex-girfriend Tulip (Ruth Negga), and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) who accompany him on his newfound mission to find God.

Why is he looking for God? 

Well, you'll have to tune in to find out the why's of it all.

There are a lot of fun characters in Preacher.

You'll meet the Saint of Killers who is sent down to find and kill Custer, a kid named Arseface who tried to emulate Kurt Cobain's suicide and failed (when you see him you'll know why he's called Arseface), Hugo Root, the sheriff of Annville, and many more to keep you entertained all summer.

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (Neighbors, Superbad) teamed up with Breaking Bad's Sam Caitlin to bring this epic comic to the small screen, so you know it's going to be great.
