FOX Promo: Hell and High Drama on Lucifer and Gotham

at .  Updated at .

Your Monday nights are going to be full of hell and high drama starting this fall!

Lucifer's mom is on the loose and so are all the monsters who escaped Indian Hill on Gotham. In this promo we get a little taste of all the craziness that's in store for these two dramas.

If you remember on Lucifer Season 1 Episode 13, Lucifer traded his life for Chloe's, but "Dad" sent him back. And there was a reason for that as we found out: Mom escaped Hell.

How it happened, who knows. The point is she's on earth and has been trying on various bodies for the perfect fit. She's apparently found it in a human who's almost the same age as her sons.

And her name is Charlotte.

Their "new" mom apparently makes Lucifer and Amenadiel very uncomfortable. After all, who wants a mom around your age? And one who's super hot?

Plus, it seems she's super strong. As Lucifer tells Dr. Martin, she's probably not too happy to have been locked up in Hell for however long she was locked up.

Maze seems a bit surprised that Charlotte escaped, but what if Maze helped out of anger for Lucifer's obsession with Chloe?

Speaking of Chloe, she's seen apologizing to Lucifer for failing him. How did she fail him? Will she finally start believing his claim that he is the Devil?

One other thing we know is that Lucifer and Amendiel's brother, the angel Uriel is coming and will be played by The Sopranos star, Michael Imperioli. Will Uriel help Lucifer and Amendiel control their mom? Or does he just have a lot to get off his mind?

Over on Gotham lots will be happening. The theme of this season is transformation. But as we know, the heroes will fall.

The villains have become part of the fabric of Gotham City and everyone is making, will make, or has made some sort of transformation because of it.

Poison Ivy was recast to fit in this theme of transformation. She becomes older after a run-in with one of the monsters from Indian Hill. We get a glimpse of her in the promo.

Jim is a bounty hunter, but is he even interested in saving Gotham anymore? At least it looks like he's trying to take care of the Fish Mooney problem. But, where's Lee?

Does this mean he's on Penguin's side? It's unclear if Oswald has become Mayor of Gotham City, but it sure seems like it, doesn't it, with his little speech at the GCPD?

So, is Penguin paying Jim to hunt down Fish or is Jim doing it on his own?

It's good to see that Butch is with Penguin, but not so good to see Selina apparently teaming up with Fish. What will this mean for Bruce?

Fish is only going to be in the first two episodes of Gotham and won't return until the second half of the season. What does this mean?

Bruce is apparently going to become a playboy this season. Not surprising for a 16-year-old boy. He's looking very grown up in that shot of him at Wayne Enterprises. Hopefully, Alfred will continue to train him, so he can make a bigger move towards becoming Batman.

Remember how he looked on Gotham Season 2 Episode 19 when he saw Azrael in a cape jumping through the buildings. Those seeds should be getting mighty big by now.

As far as the villains are concerned, we're going to see prototypes of Solomon Grundy and Killer Croc. Plus, we may even see a little bit of Harley Quinn. Isn't that exciting?

The Joker will be a part of this season. At least the continuation of the "myth" of the Joker, thanks to Jerome and his antics at the beginning of Gotham Season 2. Will Jerome return? It sure looked/sounded like Jerome jumped off the bus on Gotham Season 2 Episode 22, but it may have just been wishful thinking.

There are some interesting threads to be played out this season for both Gotham and Lucifer.

Check out the promo now to see what's in store this fall!
