Rosewood Season 2 Episode 2 Review: Secrets & Silent Killers

at .

Many questions arose and secrets were revealed on Rosewood Season 2 Episode 2. But all of those secrets and questions could put a person on the path of destruction, whether they realize it or not.

For starters, Villa learned from Rosie that her husband, Eddie, was brutally beaten before his alleged car accident occurred. Eddie made Villa believe he was injured from the wreck, but he was lying to Villa the entire time.

It's likely that Eddie was involved in some type of trouble that caused him bodily harm.

The Death Certificate - Rosewood

Now I'm beginning to think I didn't know my husband at all.

Villa

This shocking news sent Villa on an aggressive route while trying to solve the mystery murder of Danny Williams. Much like Eddie, Danny Williams was a man with many secrets that may have led to his untimely death.

Danny Williams, whose real name was actually Connor Thorn, was living a double life. Connor Thorn faked a suicide, after stealing millions of money from people with a Ponzi scheme. Thorn then moved to Miami with the money and took on the new name, Danny Williams.

You wouldn't be the first woman who didn't know her husband had secrets.

Villa

At first, it would've been easy to suspect Danny's peeping neighbor, Troy to be Danny's killer. Troy was in love with Danny's wife Penny and knew Danny was cheating on her. Troy was jealous and wanted to get back at Danny for hurting his crush, Penny. That, however, was not the case.

In the twist of things, Danny's killer was actually his wife Penny. Penny's stepfather committed suicided after losing all his earned money in the Ponzi scheme, Danny – then known as Connor – created. Penny was just waiting for the right to kill the man that caused her family so much pain.

Danny's secrets made Villa reevaluate what kind of man Eddie truly was during their marriage. Knowing that she needs closure, I'm happy Villa's allowing Rosewood to exhume Eddie's body to finally get to the bottom of things.

I'm sure that's what Beyoncé said to Jay Z right before she dropped Lemonade. I'm a member of the Beyhive.

Mitchie

TMI is still upset about how things ended with Pippy, and it's interfering with her work. While examining Danny's body, TMI ran into some problems that only Pippy would know how to solve. TMI finally got the courage to call Pippy to seek her help with the case.

It was surprising that Pippy actually called TMI back, and even briefly showed up at Magic City Lab. Pippy has distanced herself from pretty much everyone after breaking up with TMI and quitting her job. Hopefully, once Pippy's done working on her music, she'll come back around. Magic City Lab is missing it's Pippy spunk.

How does a trust fund kid whose parents are still alive, end up in a group home? I just had to know who I'm working for.

Hornstock

I still have doubts about Capt. Slade. Yeah, he's nice to look at, but there's something about him that's entirely too mysterious. Hornstock found out that Slade actually has parents that are well-off, so why did Slade grow up in a group home?

Slade also has it out for Hornstock. He knows what Hornstock did years ago, and doesn't like the fact it took Hornstock 18 years to finally come clean about the situation. So, does this mean Slade will continuously try to push Hornstock over the edge and try to get him to quit? It's likely.

Hornstock's is a tough guy, so I doubt he'll let new guy Slade push him away from Miami P.D. after all these years working the force.

Gerald: You mean the son that still doesn't know I exist.
Donna: It's complicated.

Donna finally came clean to Rosewood about her involvement with Gerald. Donna always has this need to be a savior, but can she truly help Gerald?

One thing's for sure, Rosewood doesn't like this Donna and Gerald friendship one bit. You can't blame Rosewood, though. Gerald's a serial killer who murdered two women. Gerald could be trying to get inside Donna's mind, making her feel like she can trust him. We'll have to see how this Gerald situation truly plays out.

So, what did you think about "Secrets & Silent Killers"?

Should Pippy come back to Magic City Lab? What is Capt. Slade hiding? What do you think really happened with Eddie?
