DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 Episode 13 Review: Land of the Lost

Spaniel Broad Tricycle.

Those words are apparently a lot easier to remember than your past because on DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 Episode 13 it seemed Rip was able to override Gideon and take over the ship just to annoy me.

With one more piece of the spear to retrieve, the team got Rip back just in time. Minimal annoyance achieved, much to my surprise.

The Mind Is a Terrible Thing - DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 Episode 13

I'm still not in love with Legends anymore, and somehow I doubt there is a future where the magic I once found in the show reappears.

But that's my problem, and I'm not going to ruin your good time because I find the experience lacking. Instead, I'm going to be positive. Let's give it a whirl!

At least the journey to save Rip is over. I think.

To be honest, it's hard to be completely assured Rip was rescued with such ease, but Sara and Jax kicked their own asses and Rip kissed Gideon, and all of that couldn't have been for nothing.

I had a good time with the doppelgangers in Rip's mind, and it made comic book sense that he'd hate the team (no, it really didn't) because he thought they all turned on him and held him captive.

Right. It didn't make sense. Because the dude in Rip's mind wasn't the same dude out and about. And Rip, well, he leaked a lot of important information and no matter how hard I try to understand it, it doesn't work.

The best part?

The Wise One - DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 Episode 13

My man Mick came up with the idea for the "croggy" thing after he bothered to share with the group what he underwent when he was with the time masters. Dude was mind raped more than once.

But it made him very wise, and that's always fun to watch.

Sara: You figure this cognitive intrusion thing out?
Mick: With the professor as my assistant, yeah.
Stein: You cannot be serious.
Mick: Very serious, yeah. Get me a beer.

He loved making Stein his assistant, and his observations about Stein and Jax were welcomed by Stein.

Was it prophecy, talking about Stein's limited involvement with the team because of his age? It doesn't matter if it's true, and it is. Stein didn't like hearing it, but Mick had a good point to make.

What worked for him and Snart was their trust. They also allowed each other to hone their individual abilities and without that, Mick might be dead, too. Stein doesn't want Jax to die off if their partnership ends.

That was another cool conversation between the new friends.

Where is Gertrude? - DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 Episode 13

Admittedly, I missed why the team was on the hunt for Nate's grandfather. But if a piece of the ship breaks off, it kind of needs to be found regardless. I wasn't sure why Nate thought he needed to step up in the search for the broken bit in any way based on the mission.

Revisiting where Ray was stranded and lived was a fun adventure that gave Ray a chance to talk to Nate about Amaya.

Forgetting about Mari has been easy. Amaya has kicked so much ass that Mari has faded into the background.

All I recall from Mari was one form of animal in her single appearance on Arrow

Amaya can take on the form of a freakin' dinosaur and whisper him into a friendship. Come on!

The Dino Whisperer - DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 Episode 13

That was easily my favorite moment. Her eyes shining in solidarity and calming a T-Rex. I would love to see more of that kind of stuff, but that's not what Legends is about.

It's not fair that Amaya is on a course with fate and can't veer in any direction because of Mari, but if works right, no dalliance with Nate should make a difference.

She's just finding herself and wants to sow some wild oats. She flirts beautifully and deserves a little something, right?

Not exactly.

Stranded - DC's Legends of Tomorrow

Nate chose to willfully withhold information from someone for sex, which is totally uncool.

I was behind them moving forward regardless of her future until that moment. She might joke that she's willing to playfully examine her sexuality in this new world she's discovered, but if she knew Nate was having his was when the next day he was putting on the brakes, I think her story would change.

DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 Episode 14 looks fun as we head into space with a man who cannot fly a rocket. Reverse Flash is utilizing his body morphing and ends up piloting a ship to the moon?

That is...interesting. Surely the last piece of the spear isn't on the moon.

Question for you. Do any of you think there's even the slightest possibility the Legion will get their hands on the full spear and change reality? How could they do that given all the other CW Verse shows?
