The Originals Season 4 Episode 6 Review: Bag of Cobras

Klaus and his family would be wise to get themselves some invisibility cloaks.
Sofya's true motives were revealed on The Originals Season 4 Episode 6, and as most of you expected, she's a scorned woman from his past.
The beauty of a show that spans thousands of years worth of story is that you get to meet a lot of characters.
Having a character as wicked as Klaus also means people persistently stopping by the town for revenge. It's becoming a tired old trope for The Originals, and something needs to be done about it.
Sofya is an engaging character, but it's difficult to look past the revenge plot she brings with her. If you watch The Originals online, you will know Klaus has done some horrible things.
Killing every member of Sofya's family wedding? That was probably just a standard afternoon for Klaus and his minions.
That said, I hate when characters appear and have the items allowing them to kill the Mikaelsons. I liked that Sofya was willing to work with the people she hated. Klaus tends to like women who challenge him.
Something tells me Sofya will be swiftly dispatched when The Hollow plot comes to a close.
Was anyone else shocked Elijah resorted to killing Dominic in front of everyone at the party? I was so sure Klaus would be the one to start the killing spree.
Elijah obviously thought killing Dominic would buy the family some time. He did not bank on the villain being brought back to life a few scenes later. All of the stuff with Dominic fell very flat for me.
Maybe he did not care about killing anyone because he obtained the object from the safe, but I expected a whole lot more action than what we were given. Dominic was not one to give up, so Elijah should have anticipated he would return.
The dude was throwing demands at Elijah like they were going out of fashion. It was comical.
I expected there to be a big showdown, but all of the action seemed like filler. That's not the best way to return after a short break.
Freya finally opening up to Vincent about her thought process when sealing Davina's fate was needed. Freya has proven time and time again that she will do anything for her family.
Heck, just look at the way she treated Keelin a while ago. I did think her words would prompt Vincent to understand her a little more, but all he wanted to do was sulk.
Freya's actions may be cutthroat and have a lasting effect on everyone, but at least she's trying to make sure her nearest and dearest are safe from any looming threats.
She's becoming the resident witch, and that's part of the reason why Hayley turned to her. Hayley needed the moral support and the use of Freya's power to unlock the truth.
It must have been tough seeing her parents murdered by the goon from The Hollow, but it probably helped close a chapter for the Hybrid. She's been trying to find out her roots for so long now.
I just wish it was under better circumstances for her. The people who killed her parents are now coming after her daughter. That's got to be some sort of award for the worst luck.
Looking for the objects is going to be interesting, but something tells me Vincent is not going to make it out of this fight. Marcel is lucky that he's all cloaked and safe.
Poor Josh learned a thing or ten from Davina during their time as friends. You could tell he was not impressed by being put on the spot by Sofya, but he probably felt a sense of accomplishment for finding out Marcel's whereabouts all on his own.
I can't be the only one who thought Sofya was going to go back on her word and murder Josh. The show needs to trim the budget somewhere. Losing Josh would be a huge blow for the series, but he's been woefully underutilized this season.
"Bag of Cobras" was a mixed bag. There were some good moments, but some dull ones. This was the worst episode of the season, and I hope it's not the shape of things to come.
