Emmy Nominations 2018: Who Got Snubbed?

at .  Updated at .

Now that the nominations for the 2018 Emmys have been revealed, it's time to take a look at some of the actors and shows that should have been represented.

Oh yes, we're talking about the biggest snubs!

1. Frankie Shaw - SMILF

The acting from Shaw in SMILF was not only believable, but it was heartbreaking. The actress went above and beyond to hit us right in the feels for her portrayal of Bridgette Bird. We love Pamela Adlon dearly, but there's no justification for Shaw being left out.

2. Mandy Moore - This Is Us

After Moore failed to garner a nomination in 2017, she continued to up her game on This Is Us Season 2. It's a real travesty that she did not secure a nod in 2018. Tatiana Maslany has won the award already, yet has been nominated for the third time. We would be so on board with Moore being nominated instead.

3. Liev Schreiber - Ray Donovan

While the writing for Ray Donovan has suffered of late, Schreiber's acting has not, and it was surprising that he was left out of the nominations.

He is one of the best actors on all of television. We're most surprised Jason Bateman secured a nomination over Schreiber.

4. Jodie Comer - Killing Eve

Comer plays the villainous Villanelle on Killing Eve, and while we're ecstatic her co-star Sandra Oh got a nod, we're livid that Jodie was left out in the cold. Millie Bobby Brown is a great actress, but Jodie's acting on Killing Eve was different enough ... in a good way.

5. Kit Harington - Game of Thrones

HBO changed things up this year by nominating Harington in the Lead Actor category. However, it backfired and he was not nominated.

Kit has proven time and time again that he has the acting chops to lead a series, so it's a bitter pill to swallow that he missed out. We're in shock that Jason Bateman was nommed over him. Yikes.

6. Emilia Clarke - Game of Thrones

HBO also opted to enter Clarke as a lead instead of a supporting player, and it left Clarke with no acting nominations for the show. How did she get snubbed over Tatiana? We'll never know.

7. Orange is the New Black

Orange is the New Black Season 5 may have been polarizing, but it was still a groundbreaking season that shed light on the injustices of the prison system. It did so with the show's signature side dose of humor, and that should not be looked over. Let's just say we're shocked The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt secured a nom and OITNB did not.

8. Rami Malek - Mr. Robot

Mr. Robot staged a return to form for Season 3, and part of that was down to the sheer acting range from Malek as he portrayed a character who struggled to know what was part of his mind and what was real. Why did Ed Harris secure a nom over Malek?

9. Will & Grace

Will & Grace is one of the most successful revivals to date. The reason? It was still funny ... even after 11 years off the air.

We're pretty sure it was way better than The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

10. Christine Baranski - The Good Fight

Could you imagine anyone else in the role of Diane Lockhart on this CBS All Access drama?

Neither could we. Yet Christine missed out on a nomination. We would not oppose to Baranski getting a nod over Evan Rachel Wood this time around.

11. Freddie Highmore - The Good Doctor

The Good Doctor was one of the few success stories of the 2017-18 season, and its success was in large part down to the first-class acting from Highmore as Shaun Murphy. Yes, we still think he would be a better fit than Jason Bateman.

12. Iain Armitage - Young Sheldon

Armitage turned in a convincing portrayal of the young Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory spinoff. It's surprising that he was not gifted with a nod for his acting. If there were a mistake and Armitage was supposed to be nommed instead of Bill Hader, we would not mind.

13. Kristen Bell - The Good Place

The above reaction sums up how we feel about Bell not making the cut for a nomination for best actress in a comedy series. Issa Rae has been excellent in Insecure, but Bell's performance in The Good Place has been more comedic.

14. Killing Eve

This is up there as one of the best shows of the last 12 months. With slick writing, crazy twists and outstanding acting, we're surprised it never got a nod for outstanding drama. As a lover of every show that landed a nomination, it's shocking that Stranger Things was nominated and Killing Eve was not.

15. Kyle MacLachlan - Twin Peaks

Twin Peaks was one of the twistiest shows around when it returned, but there's no reason why Kyle should not have been nominated for best actor. We're pretty sure MacLachlan turned in a more rounded performance than Ricky Martin did on Versace.

16. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

What... no Crazy Ex-Girlfriend love? The show knocked it out of the park with its most recent season. The acting, musical numbers and writing made for must-watch TV. Silicon Valley is coming off its worst season to date. Yet, it still got the nod.

17. Alison Brie - Glow

Alison Brie is a great comedy actress. Where is her nod? As much as we love The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Brie should have been nommed over Rachel Brosnahan.

18. Viola Davis - How to Get Away with Murder

Yes, Davis got a nod for being a guest actress on Scandal, but she deserved the nod for the lead actress on her own show. This is a tough category, but it would not be out of the realm of possibility to see Viola beat Tatiana to the win.

19. John Goodman - Roseanne

Yes, the ABC show may have been controversial, but Goodman's acting was as good as ever. We're shocked he was not one of the noms. The biggest surprise? William H. Macy is still being nominated despite his character on Shameless becoming one of the most tedious on all of TV.

20. Uzo Aduba - Orange is the New Black

Uzo plays Suzanne 'Crazy Eyes' Warren on the Netflix hit. The character is one of the most memorable on all of television, and that's in large part down to the acting from Aduba. In what world does Pamela Adlon get nominated over Uzo Aduba?
