Andy spent all of Station 19 Season 2 Episode 6 fearing it might be her last day on the job. At least it wasn't a boring one.

After her outburst, she had reason to believe that Sullivan might be inclined to fire her, and to her, that might as well be the end of her life.

Luckily for Andy, she lives to see another day.

There was never any doubt that Sullivan wasn't going to fire her, but that didn't stop them from dragging out "the talk" for the entire hour.

Each call Andy and Maya received was perfectly timed to interrupt Sullivan before he had a chance to utter a single word. Everyone who got hurt that day can blame Andy for putting bad juju on them.

She basically asked fate to intervene and keep her out on calls saving people so she wouldn't have to talk to him.

Fate came through in spades. Not only did she get plenty of calls, but they were not your average run-of-the-mill ones. She and Maya scaled a mountain for crying out loud!

You know what's annoying? We just scaled a mountain carrying a grown man and a tree, and those medevac guys are the ones who'll get all the glory, landing on some hospital roof, handing Clark off to some surgical team. What did they do? Fly around in a helicopter all day? We scaled the mountain.

She may not have gotten all the credit, but if it had been her last day on the job, at least she would have gone out with a bang.

She was able to use that to convince Sullivan she deserved to stay, not that there was any real need. Did he decide that Andy is the "glue" Pruitt was referencing?

Oh man, Sullivan makes the most awkward small talk of all time. It was painful to watch him trying to connect with Jack and Vic. If either of them was the glue, he crashed and burned big time.

Asking Andy for coffee (which is sort of what happened, I guess), was also incredibly awkward, but at least she was more open to it.

I like the idea of Sullivan making an effort to bond with his team, but I don't get his total aversion to eating a meal with them. It doesn't have to be every meal, but once in a while, he could join them.

Ben is not adjusting well to his separation from Bailey.

The not-so-subtle call of the woman with her hand in the garbage disposal who's wife was deployed was basically having his home situation thrown in his face.

Her wife is overseas and she's struggling without her. She's also terrified that she may never come home. Does that remind you of anyone?

I honestly don't think Ben needed this supposed wake-up call. He gets it. The situation sucks, but he understands where Bailey is coming from, and like a good husband, he's putting her health first.

These two are #couplegoals, so they better work it out soon. They're my favorite Shondaland couple, and it's not even close.

It's heartbreaking seeing Ben so miserable.

It makes you wonder if he will consider quitting his job to help relieve her stress if this sabbatical doesn't work. He has a pretty strong backup plan, and it's not like he doesn't still use his medical knowledge in the field.

He loves being a firefighter, and there's no show without him, so we know it's not going to happen, but realistically it would have to at least cross his mind.

In the meantime, we'll just have to settle for adorable bro-hugs!

Ryan and his dad made a teeny bit of progress in mending their broken relationship.

It's hard to imagine being a cop with a criminal for a dad, but Ryan is basically doing the equivalent of sticking his fingers in his ears and pretending he can't hear the breaking the law stuff.

Hey, whatever works.

Ryan: Did you just confess a crime to me?
Greg: Actually I intentionally used vague and non-specific language.
Ryan: So you spend your "borrowed time" at illegal poker games?
Greg: I've spent that time trying to make things right. By your mom, by you. I just want to come see you in person. I want to look you in the eye and tell you I'm proud of you son. I just wanted to show up. For once. While I still could.

Greg has never been there for him, and he couldn't even show up to breakfast that very morning, but when pushed by Ryan to tell him why he's here, his response is that he wants to see him?

As sincere as it sounded, it's hard to blame Ryan for calling BS.

He heard Andy's outburst accusing him of having trust issues, so he's making an effort to open himself up and allow his dad back in. Whether or not that's a good call is yet to be determined.

At least his dad is alive for him to make a decision.

What is going on with Jack? He may need to seek some therapy, and soon before it starts to negatively affect his job. I don't love the idea of Vic sleeping with Ripley, but I did enjoy her hypotheticals to Jack. Kudos to him for not passing judgment and pretending not to see the name on her phone. That's not what Vic needs right now.

Getting involved with the fire chief feels like a bad idea, one that could potentially blow up in her face. Judging by the smile on her face after the phone call though, she's all in.
