Ever since a coffee cup made a surprise appearance on Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4, eagle-eyed fans have been on the lookout for more production errors as the HBO hit winds down.

Unfortunately for the show, there was another error on Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 6 -- the series finale.

In a pivotal moment during the last-ever installment, the lords of Westeros came to the conclusion that Bran Stark would be the next King.

A stray water bottle was present during the scene, with a one fan zooming in to find it next to Samwell Tarly's feet.

Many fans have been on the offensive about Game of Thrones Season 8, and the water bottle's appearance mere weeks after the coffee cup is certainly a surprise.

The series finale itself was met with a largely mixed reception, garnering a 50 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes at the time of publishing.

In fact, the entire season has not exactly down well, with many pointing out that the final episodes feel rushed and that the character development has been thrown away with the aim of closing the series up.

A petition to remake the entire final season has already reached over 1.2 million signatures.

"David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on," the petition's creator wrote.

"This series deserves a final season that makes sense. Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!"
