Marty Deeks is a central character on NCIS: Los Angeles.
A Los Angeles PD detective, he was first introduced in the first season during an undercover operation in which he squared off with Sam in a boxing match.
He then became an LAPD liaison to NCIS in the second season, partnering with Kensi Blye and becoming a de facto part of the team ever since.
