Vanessa Abrams is a young, beautiful artist who remains an outcast among a cluster of New York's most elite, wealthy teens. Her best friend is Dan Humphrey, who is from a similar middle-class background. She works at a coffee shop in Brooklyn and has a history with Dan that has not been fully revealed yet, but was evident in the tension between herself and Serena van der Woodsen at the time Serena began to date Dan. Towards the end of the first season of Gossip Girl, Vanessa developed a romance of her own with Nate Archibald, although that fizzled before it really got going. We can't wait to see what's next for Vanessa in Season 2!

'Owned' recruits 'Gossip Girl'
Jessica Szohr joins teen comedy

"Gossip Girl" star Jessica Szohr will play the female lead in the teen comedy "Owned," produced by Radar Pictures and Dobre Films.
J.B. Rogers, who directed "American Pie 2" and was a co-producer on "Hall Pass," will helm from Jim Freeman's script. Producing are Ted Field and Amy Halvorsen through Radar Pictures and Christopher D'Elia and Michael Klein through Dobre Films.
Story centers on a new girl in high school who tries to blackmail her nerdy neighbor with a compromising videotape, only to have him wind up the most popular kid in school.
Szohr's credits include "Piranha 3D" and "Fired Up." She's repped by ICM and Luber Roklin Entertainment. Rogers is repped at ICM and Principal Entertainment.

She is a pretty Troll^^...No I can't deny she is very pretty but I find her soooo annoying! Didn't miss her at all! She is never up to anything good, especially when she has no boyfriend! While she was with Nate she was tolerable! Well let's see what comes next...(Btw I talk about Vanessa, I don't want to offend Jessica in any way!)

I'm so annoyed at everyone that says 'durrrr, she's ugly'
First of all, what does that have to do with her character, Vanessa? Second of all, beauty is just an opinion and those of us not blinded by jealousy think the actress who plays Vanessa has a very unique exotic beauty, in other words Vanessa is pretty.
Anyways, I'm glad she's back. I hope she doesn't do anything to ruin Dair but I am glad she's back.
