Part II - 3 - help him as she saw what the guilt was doing to him. Owen does not realize just why they all came to the conclusion to buy the hospital yet. I just hope Shonda & Co. write great dialogue & scenes to wrap up this extension storyline to the plane crash, to show Owen just how much, in the end, all of them did have his back & that Cristina loves her man & was willing to go that far to prove to him that she did. As far as Owen & Cristina's relationship - well, it took another major hit but somehow I think they will manage to dig deeper within themselves to find common ground - they have done it in the past with the ugliness of the abortion/cheating issues.
4 - April manages to sabotage her own relationships - she needs to examine why - I really like her & am in her corner to find out within herself why she does what she does. The hunky paramedic won't be sticking around.
5 - In my opinion, Alex & Jo should remain friends, period. I see zero chemistry between them. Now if the show brought back Dr. Lucy Fields, now we're talking sparks!! Again, that's my opinion.
1 - Favorite scene; flashing van lights & what ensued w/Derek's financial advisor in the van. The camera kept swinging around from face to face & by the end of the discussions I had whiplash!! Hilarious! Second favorite scene; Owen & Cristina's sexy bed scene - it was so hot that I could see steam coming out from my tv!!! They have had some of THE steamiest sex scenes on this show. Thanks Shonda!!!
2 - Throughout the show we saw why, in the end, the doctor's made the decision to buy the hospital & they are all right in their decision.
3 - Owen feels totally betrayed by all the doctor's but to hear Cristina quitting on him was the tipping point & it is understandable. After he told her a couple of episodes back that she had quit their marriage a long time ago - this, to him, was reliving that pain all over again. But we all know that after he admitted to her that he did not feel the sale of SGMW was the best thing to do, she knew what she had to do to help him as she saw what the guilt was doing to him. 4 - April manages to sabotage her own relationships - she needs to examine why - I really like her & am in her corner to find out within herself why she does what she does. I would think, however, hunky paramedic Matt will not be long for this relationship because of her withholding what she did. She did not start a solid foundation.
5 - In my opinion, Alex & Jo should remain friends, period. I see zero chemistry between them. Now if the show brought back Dr. Lucy Fields, now we're talking sparks!! Again, that's my opinion.
I am also thinking that Alexis is the real target & I am hoping Rick's father is not behind it as we really saw the dark side of Rick last night. Rick is a larger than life character all on his own, it will be interesting to see the family dynamics at play between Rick & his Father & hopefully that will include Martha - we don't see nearly enough of that character. And I noticed that Gates "looked the other way" when she saw Kate & Rick holding hands. I'm sure she has some idea that Rick & Kate are a couple & she is turning a blind eye a bit as she likes & respects both of them more than she lets on & we can't think she is that naive either. I could be wrong. Rick & Kate have been doing a really good job at shielding their relationship to anyone because they know what the consequences would be. Gates is too smart for that - she knows what she has in Kate Beckett & her team of men!! It has to be Kate that finds Alexis for Rick!
Next week's show is a two parter - I am wondering if it will, in the end, be Rick's father who has Alexis kidnapped - James Brolin is scheduled to guest appear on the show in the next couple of weeks - coincidence or social media related? We all remember how Rick warned Alexis about putting too much of herself online. Whatever precipitates her being taken, I just KNOW Rick is going to be more than out on the ledge & certainly can't blame him - this has to be every parent's nightmare. I have instructed both of my children to hold THEIR children's hands very tightly when they go out anywhere & we live in very small communities - doesn't matter. There are unstable people everywhere. Be as smart as ya' can ... Some posters say Rick isn't a very good dad - I think he is - he is funny with Alexis & then the next thing we see him being really serious & explaining to her why he feels she should do this or that. I think he is one cool & very smart dad .... GO CASTLE!!!
Part II - 3 - I am with reviewer Sean - I miss Mark alot & this episode would have been a great one with the one liners he would have coughed up if he went up against Jackson. I LOVE Alex but he gets too snarky with things like this. Alex is always in a much better place when he is with "his kids."
4 - My vote is for Matthew, the cute paramedic - while I love Jackson, he exhibited zero self-control & hopped into the back seat with Stephanie - now as far as I am concerned, he can stay there.
5 - And I STILL do not see ANY chemistry between Alex & Jo - now if the character of Lucy Fields was still on, we'd still be seeing fireworks fly!
1- Favorite scene - when Meredith tried reaching Cristina w/Cristina ignoring her beeper when she was with Owen - a far cry from when she reamed him a new one a couple of seasons back - where Owen talked her into ignoring Teddy's page when they were in an on-call room. Or did anyone take that as she didn't hear her pager go off? Either way, the page certainly was not a life or death situation as we already had that with the boy's emergency surgery.
2 - Yes, it was crazy, but crazy is where Shonda takes this show & these doctors. The best quote of the night because of what they did was Owen telling Cristina "you guys are killing me." That quote just might become true in some way - not killing Owen - maybe him being fired or stepping down even though we see Derek saying that to Owen this coming week.
3 - Instead of one doctors being the ambassador - how about a good group shot of them all - the original group of doctor's, w/Bailey, Richard & Owen -not the interns. I am with reviewer Sean - I miss Mark alot & this episode would have been a "Mark's dream" of an episode with the one liners he would have coughed up going up against Jackson. I LOVE Alex but he gets too snarky with things like this. Alex is always in a much better place when he is with "his kids."
4 - My vote is for Matthew, the cute paramedic - while I love Jackson, he exhibited zero self-control & hopped into the back seat with Stephanie - now as far as I am concerned, he can stay there - but I still really like him.
5 - And I STILL do not see ANY chemistry between Alex & Jo - now if the character of Lucy Fields was still on, we'd still be seeing fireworks fly!
I.LOVE.THIS.SHOW! Who can keep up with who is stabbing whose back next? A few things here - Bobby & J.R. think more alike than we think - because who does Bobby go to every time he needs "help" with certain things? AND Sue Ellen warned John Ross about his Father & as usual the kid carelessly tossed that advice aside. John Ross is about to find out just by his actions that he awoke the sleeping giant in J.R. Watched the original show back in the day. John Ross is an idiot - he is so hell-bent on making J.R. pay for not being his father for all those years & he's so vengeful towards Alana & Christopher that he is making mistakes left & right. And just how terrific is Judith Light, as Ryland's Mother?? OMG, twisted isn't probably the only adjective that we will use to describe her.
LOVED this episode - saw a great & hilarious pairing of Callie & Richard - enjoyed seeing April w/her new paramedic boyfriend w/Jackson looking over his shoulder as he & Stephanie left the hospital! Enjoyed seeing all of the doc's/interns pulling for the same cause with the BEST one liner coming from Owen ... Cristina telling him "they did the right thing" & he said " I know, but you are all killing me." Both of them are right. And imo, the BEST scene of the episode was when Owen & Cristina were kissing & Meredith attempted to reach Cristina & her pager was tucked into her shoe with Cristina never reaching for it - she has learned it's not all about her. FUNNY last scene ... Richard walking into the elevator & as the doors closed, there was a mural of Derek - omg, did I laugh! Richard just looked at Derek's face & just stood there - didn't say a word & made no face at it either.
There isn't anything I can't agree with on Ms. Morrison's review - when Kate & the Senator's face were just inches apart & they each spoke slowly to each other made those scenes so dramatic. They both kept their cool. And HOW does Kate remain so in control when dealing with the Senator? I am thinking she sees the big picture & for now is slowly handing the Senator inch after inch of rope & when he hangs himself, all she will have to do is reel him in. I also love when Rick has the writer vest on - when I see it, I kind of laugh but I know he is serious & I take it that way. The thing with Kate & Rick's relationship, is it starts with their jobs & then goes deeper. He fully supports what she is doing & why she is doing it & now she allows him to. And now it will be interesting to see how Gates handles the fact of hearing Kate say the Senator is responsible for her Mother's death.
April needs to go with the cute & hunky paramedic. While I realize she was thrilled not to be pregnant, and as much as I REALLY like Jackson, he hopped into someone else's, well, back seat - April is deserving of someone who won't do that to her & will respect her. I give her two high 5's for walking away from Jackson. I really liked the Arizona/Owen storyline of the phantom limb syndrome - I liked Owen being with Grey's characters he normally has not been with & that he could help by using his Army skills. I think Bailey was WAY out of line with her snide comment to Derek - SHE didn't go through that plane crash, SHE doesn't have to sleep with the lights on & SHE can still operate. NO amount of money can take away all the pain that the ones who did go through it - one lost a sister & almost her husband, one lost a limb, one lost her husband & one little girl lost her Dad because of the crash. Bailey's on thin ice & I have ALWAYS loved Bailey!
I thought this was a great episode. Thankfully never having lost a limb, I find the phantom limb syndrome storyline intriguing & Jessica Capshaw has done a great, great job in portraying someone who has. I really liked seeing Owen helping Arizona. It's great to see Owen being "out of this box" too as I love seeing him as a dr. first, then Chief & liked him relying on his skills when he was in the Army. I have ALWAYS loved the character of Miranda Bailey .. but this season? Not as much. That she should be bitter rather than compassionate towards the very people she "raised" & to Derek, whom she has always had a special bond with? To begrudge people who were in a plane crash & survived & what about the two lives lost? So my question is - what's wrong with Bailey? And April didn't see this hunky paramedic coming! Yeah April - go get that cup of coffee, girl! She rocked last night.
1. Richard IS the father Meredith never had & the last scene of the night & the scene where she breaks up what could have been an ugly brawl between Richard & the head of the nursing facility. GREAT scenes!!
2. I hope THIS marriage lasts - we didn't see much of a courtship. I love each of their characters - pulling for them.
3. I am not seeing ANY chemistry between Alex & Jo - now there was plenty of that with Lucy Fields - now that the show she was on was cancelled, bring her back! She was the one for Alex! Won't happen now.
4. In life, there are times when certain words should remain behind ones' lips - being told that "two people should have never married" should not have emerged, imo. O/C are my very favorite couple on this show - I hope they last, not counting on it ... hope I am totally wrong.
5. The character of Adele was not on a whole lot - but Loretta Devine WAS divine when she appeared. I will miss her - she & James Pickens were a great pairing. When he could keep an entire hospital & interns running, she was the one that kept him running. Good bye Adele.
part II - should have never married. I am all for being VERY honest with people but there are still times when some things should stay behind one's lips & that, in my opinion, was one of those times. Great job on last night's episode, Shonda & Co.
Very sad that Owen & Cristina signed their divorce papers. Even though I fully "get" what Owen said to Cristina, it would have been great to see Cristina rip them up telling Owen she didn't want the divorce & it would have been great to show a couple really work at putting their marriage back together - better than when they started out. Who knows? Maybe that is what is in store for them, time will tell - the jury's out. Loved the entire episode last night from start to finis though!!! Another emotional roller coaster ride - from tears, to really laughing, to hopeful, back to sad, happy for the newlyweds, sad for the divorcing couple & really sad Adele passed away but loved the ending scene with Richard & Adele dancing, I cried on that one. Alex was hilarious - just love him!!! Not sure Jo is the one for him, though. Happy for Callie/Arizona that they seem to be drawing closer to each other. The ONLY thing I would not have written was Owen telling Cristina they should never have married. I am ALL for being VERY honest & upfront with people but there are still times when some words should stay behind one's lips. Aside from that, great job, Shonda & Co.!!! :-)
Part II - Loved Callie in all the scenes she was in - first singing Here Comes the Bride to Bailey - that was hilarious - then she did tough love thing with Arizona re: the shoe issue & then performing surgery on Derek.
If Ben does not understand why Miranda did not get to the Church on time, he should not be a doctor - he'll be fine - I predict they won't marry in the Church but will take off for a whole different destination - maybe Vegas, baby!!
For myself, the BEST scenes of the Run Baby Run episode are of Owen & Cristina - first the show-down in the scrub room that ended up very tenderly & then Cristina going back for her husband & telling him directly to him that she wanted to try again - I think she got her answer when he walked over to her & gave her that major lip-lock. I am hoping that the writers make them SIT & have great dialogue to each other just like they did in the scrub room & the room Owen was in getting dressed in. They BOTH have much to atone for in this relationship & I am HOPING that Shonda & the writers give these two characters the respect they deserve to put humpty dumpty back together better than it was to begin with. I truly hope to see Cristina treat her husband LIKE a husband - I think with alot of TLC & alot of understanding & forgiving to each other they can work things out - only they can't backpedal ....
Loved Callie in all the scenes she was in - first singing to Bailey - that was hilarious - then she did tough love to Arizona with the shoe issue & then performing surgery on Derek.

Part II - & have proper communication with each other means all they can muster up is great make-out & hot sex scenes. That does not make a complete relationship by any stretch of the imagination. Cristina made the first step she HAD to make. She wanted her husband back & she went & got him - now hopefully they can pick up the pieces & put their marriage in an even better place than it was when they married to begin with. No marriage is perfect but people can strive to have the happiest marriage they can by being totally involved in them. They do have an uphill battle on the "having children" front but I do believe they can come to some resolve on that. I find it interesting that Cristina told him that he just couldn't unilaterally make a decision on their marriage - up until the plane crash, he was the only one IN the marriage - he was right in what he said to her - "you were done a long time ago." I am really pullin' for these two crazy in love kids! :-)
@Faith - thank you for providing the words to the Beatles song, a song I have loved since it came out all those years ago. I really do wish as Shondaland names their episodes names of songs, that they would play the song or a part of it - but I am pretty sure they would have to pay to do so.
What I am happy to see is that Cristina FINALLY spoke up to Owen. So the show is going to be bigger, better & bolder? In my opinion, all the writers need to do is provide the actors with much better, much more solid dialogue & really delve into the relationships instead of skipping over stuff which providing a disservice to the actors & viewers. I am hoping that the actors who portray Owen & Cristina will be given the opportunity to present to viewers terrific dialogue & engage with each other face to face, on how to save their marriage. I am ALL for them having great make-out & hot sex scenes like they have been able to do but to not be able to converse & have proper communication with each other means all they can muster up is great make-out & hot sex scenes. That does not make a complete relationship by any stretch of the imagination. Cristina made the first step she HAD to make. She wanted her husband back & she went & got him - now hopefully they can pick up the pieces & put their marriage in an even better place than it was when they married to begin with. @tessa - you wouldn't be so sick of the plane crash/lawsuit if you were the one in the plane crash, IF you survived it to begin with. While Grey's Anatomy is a fictional show with fictional characters, life altering situations happens in real life & I doubt it ever goes away for the survivors, if there are any & for the families of the victims/survivors.
@Alexandra - I am totally with you - it broke his heart as he told the woman he truly loves, that he wants a divorce. He looked so beaten & she looked so sad - I hope it all works out for them.
Happy to see Arizona back at the hospital & that she & Alex are once again a real team & that she laughed when she fell - she's on the mend - :-)
What's up with Bailey being so pissy to Ben about their wedding? It's his wedding too!!! ICK!!!! :-(
Watched him & Barbara Eden in I Dream of Jeannie - what a great show back in the day & I loved the original Dallas - he was so ruthless & conniving & certainly loved him in the new Dallas. I seriously doubt they would ever consider recasting his character - Larry Hagman made that character his own. No one could ever do the job of that character they way he did .. it will be interesting to see what that means for John Ross, SueEllen & Bobby Ewing .. RIP Larry Hagman, aka Major Nelson/J.R. Ewing - you gave us all alot of great tv to watch.
@notavan - I wonder how many days earlier everyone would have been rescued if Owen had not put his calls on auto-voice mail. What we don't know is for all three calls that Boise Memorial made to Owen - how far apart were each of those calls made to him? 30/60/90 min. apart? Or maybe 2/3 hrs. apart? Do you think that if Owen had taken the very first call made to him, do you really think they would have been found/rescued in 1 day or 2? They were out in thick heavy woods - that is what we didn't see either. The rescue itself was stupid - for all the hype it was a total let down because it answered nothing but maybe if this lawsuit goes to court it will. So to keep blaming Owen or hating Owen - Owen isn't the problem. In my opinion, the problem lies with the fact that they could not be FOUND for FOUR days.
@tess - Owen should protect Cristina from??? Now that she has returned to SGMW he isn't her proxy, as she can speak for herself. She left HIM twice. The first time when she told him she was leaving for Mayo after SHE persued him to have good-bye sex & again after he cared for her to get her back on her feet after being rescued & returned to him & she gets in her red car & drives off & then she has a sex-friend while she is still MARRIED to Owen. I'm not sure how much more people think this guy should do for her? Little Miss Independent can be by herself, ALL she needs to do is visit an attorney & file for divorce - it's as easy as that. But that is not what is about to happen ... they love each other too much, their communication level is a minus 50!! Neither of them can stay at the firehouse without the other!
