Recap

Will and Angie are in bed. She heard him having nightmares and suggested they play hooking so she could take care of him. They begin kissing again until Angie gets a text from work.

After she leaves, Will tries to remember the scene of where Jack and his wife, Anna, were. He's getting frustrated about his memories being blocked and nearly breaks down as Uncle Antonio arrives to go to the dog park with their dogs. He's concerned, and Will covers that he forgot.

Angie and Michael are investigating Harry Baker, an Army Ranger's death. He and his buddies reunited at a lodge with a gun range and ATVs the night before. They partied hard, and the men found his body near the shooting range.

Angie is shutting the facility down because they'll need to test all the guns and question Harry's friends more in-depth.

Amanda announces they found the body of Lily Watkins, a teenage girl who disappeared 13 years ago. With so many Black women missing, she and Faith are determined to get justice this time since no one cared when she first went missing.

They discuss Lily's last day, her old boyfriend Derek, and then talk to her dad, Albert, again, who reiterates that he picked her up from her babysitting job the night before and she liked long runs. When they dissect her room, they find a sketch of a tree.

It triggers another memory for Will of seeing that design on a flour canister in his foster home, and Will sees Faith practicing sneaking out the window, so they decide to talk to the old boyfriend.

Pete says Harry was hit close range in the back of the head and died before any other bullets got him. Angie thinks prints GSR and prints will be useless since every weapon was used. Michael has a rough time believing one of those guys killed Harry, so they talk to the widow.

She tells them about an incident at Coast in which Harry saw four Rangers die in front of him. He recently read some reports and wanted to discuss it with his friends, but he was nervous.

Will and Faith question Derek, Lily's old boyfriend, who is hostile, defensive, and unhelpful. They then interview the Royers, the family Lily babysat for. They had no problem with Lily, except they caught Derek and her kissing when their daughters were asleep.

They mentioned Ethan, Mr. Royer's son, vouched for Derek and was around Lily's age. Faith and Will wanted to talk to him, but he had drug problems since Lily died and had been in and out of rehab and jail for years.

Will has a memory of the fridge at the foster care home. He's trying to follow it as Amanda and Faith discuss leads. Will says they need to find Ethan.

When Angie and Michael ask Harry's friends what happened at Coast, Tank admits they were bored and wanted excitement but did not want their friends to die. Wallace adds they were ambushed and was told the threat level was green.

The night before, Harry kept mentioning that they shouldn't have been there, which gives Micheal an idea.

Will calls shelters and has another memory of hiding the gun and storing the bullets in the flour canister to protect the kids.

When Will and Faith find out Ethan was recently at a center, they look through his things and find a beautiful sketch of Lily.

Michael meets an old Army buddy, Rudy, and they catch up before they discuss what happened at Coast. Rudy explains it was a nightmare but mentions they walked into a code Orange. Michael relays this to Angie, who suspects Wallace killed Harry.

They're about to take care of it when Crystal calls Angie in tears, needing to be picked up. Michael calls in SWAT for backup but promises Wallace's friends that he'll use it only if necessary.

Ang finds Crystal on the side of the road and embraces her, telling her she’s ok. She’s in over her head. She was with a guy who dropped her in an alley. She should be smarter not to be with random guys but she’s a kid with no supervision. She says she can’t sleep at the hospital because it's loud and smells funny.

She admits she goes with them to forget her problems and finally breaks down about Lenny. Angie promises to be there and find her a better place to live.

Michael finds Wallace in the woods and tries to reason with him. After they fight, he finally lets Michael cuff him.

After Will accuses Ethan of being obsessed and that he could see into Lily's room, he realizes Mr. Royer has access to Lily's room, too. This triggers another memory of Will looking into the flour canister, and he leaves.

At home, he replays the scene, he realizes his pre-teen self had the gun. He realizes he loaded it and used it, just as his uncle arrives again. Will remembers everything and breaks down, as his uncle assures him that the abusive monster was to blame, not him.

Angie sets Crystal and Joey up to be roommates.

Faith tells Mr. Royer that they have evidence that Lily was in his car and Lily Watkins mattered. This case drained Faith.

As Will and Uncle Antonio drink coffee, Uncle Antonio suggests they travel to Puerto Rico together.

Michael's friend, Rudy, visits his house, and the kids are fascinated by the war stories, so he realizes he should share more.

Will tells Angie he needs to be kinder to himself and others, and he wants their relationship to work.
