Really great news! Downton's become one of my favorites :)
Two really good episodes from Private Practice :) Seeing Addison and Jake together was great. I get more and more convinced that he's really the right guy for her. However, I'm still not so sold on the character-centric episodes. I really loved Addison's and Jake's wasn't bad at all. But I can't help but whatever what is going on in the lives of the other characters. For example, James has been flirting with Amelia but what how Sheldon feel about that? I think it's just kind of unfortunate that in these character-centric episodes we don't really get to see the relationships of characters with anyone else but their significant other. And it's something I wish we could see as the show comes to an end. Finally: The promo for Cooper's episode has be completely worried and freaked out. I thought CharCoop would have a happy story but I really don't know where Shonda and the writers get their definition "happy".
@Jarrod Shonda herself said that it would be a happy story and I've just been hoping that she has the same definition of happiness as everyone else. And this might sound unbelievable, but I'm predicting (and hoping) for 2 girls and a boy as well! It might seem too ideal for them to have 2 of each but a girl can hope. :)
@ Jarrod I saw that spoiler as well and it definitely has me excited! I was shocked with how big Charlotte's belly was in this episode - especially because Sam said that the little girl went missing from the hospital a few days ago. A bit of an inconsistency there but I was just happy to see Charlotte and her pregnant belly :) At first I was really scared that the season would deal with Charlotte and Cooper having to go through selective reduction (cause of Shonda's pregnancy track record) but with all the things I've been hearing about their respective episodes I think we've got a lot of fluffy CharCoop ahead :)
I didn't enjoy this episode much either. I don't know if it's because I don't care much for Sam at all or whether the traditional PP episodes are better but either way this wasn't a good episode for me. The way it played out did seem like a soap. It might've been better if they let this story play out as an arc for some for the rest of the season since I don't really know what else could be left for him anyway. Knowing that the next set of episodes before the finale will be character-centric, I'm a bit nervous. I know I wouldn't mind it when it's time for Charlotte and Cooper's respective episodes but I hope that every other episode still gives something about other characters. It just felt like everything was put on pause for everyone else and it would suck if we'd have to wait for a character's respective episode to know what's going on with them.
Awesome! I was hoping for this. I'm all for Harvey and Donna but Scottie just brings so much to the table. It'll be fun having her back.
@Jarrod I agree completely! They have all the time to make sure that characters get their good endings. Maybe even bring Naomi back for the last few episodes or something. For me, even though GA can tie up some loose ends, I'd want a good ending clearly made in the series finale. All the characters have gone through enough and as an audience, we shouldn't be given an ending consisting of a cliff-hanger or anything of the like. Make it a great end that shows the characters in a good place while highlighting how much they've grown over the course of the series.
I'm definitely sad about it. I was hopeful that they'd at least get the extra 9 episodes and have a complete season. Based on what Jarrod said, I really hope that the last few episodes they're writing really give the characters a good end. Since the show ends when Kate Walsh leaves, I hope they don't make the character of Addison leave or anything as well. For the finale, I'd like to see an epilogue of sorts for the characters. Just so we know that they got their "Happily ever after"s. And if we don't get to see Charlotte and Cooper's babies I'll flip out!
(cont) I feel like there's no story going on for Amelia, Sheldon, and even Sam. Which still makes me think that either of these characters could've left instead of Pete.
I thought this was a great way to celebrate 100 episodes of PP. It was sad in the way that PP episodes are when the characters are at their lowest - that perfect mixture of keeping it in and then letting it all out. And it was undeniably funny! Violet might not be my favorite character but she deserves props for this one. Charlotte was great, as usual. I love how her quick wit is being used for her pregnancy and I think it'll be fun watching the rest of it. Shonda said "it's going to be a happy story" for her so I just hope her definition of happy isn't clouded with something dark and twisty. I'm also looking forward to how Addison will deal with Mark's death. It probably isn't going to be fun but we can't deny that he means a lot to her. On a side note, I felt like Sheldon's case was so unnecessary. It would've been a much better episode if that time was used for just the party itself. I mean, we don't even know exactly what's going on with Sheldon until now! I feel like there's no story going on for Amelia, Sheldon, and even Sam. Which still makes me think that either of these characters could've left instead of Pete.
