Eve: You're going to need these.
Bode: Couldn't have done it without you, Captain.
Dispatch: Vegetation fire. Three Rock.
Eve: What, you a little jealous?
Bode: A little bit.
Eve: Your ride's here.

Gabriela: Jake.
Jake: What? No. Good morning, 5 AM. And good morning, Gabriela.
Gabriela: I -- I need your breakfast, frittata. And also, how was Bode's party?
Jake: I didn't go. You didn't go?
Gabriela: Why didn't you go?
Jake: Well, I think I got in Bode's head at the Lazarus fire. Why didn't you go?
Gabriela: I'm his ex. It's weird.
Jake: You're my ex. Sitting in my bed. At 5 AM. That's not weird at all. And you don't even work here anymore.
Eve: I know. I am here to scold. You both missed Bode's party.
Gabriela: Well, I sent him a donut.
Eve: I'm serious. He needs us. He needs his support system. He needs us.
Jake: Okay. Yeah. You're right. We should have totally been there. I -- I feel terrible.
Gabriela: I feel worse.
Eve: And I feel hungry. Jake, you cooking? Cause enjoy me while you can. Because I might be moving to Sacramento.
Gabriela: Wait, what?
Jake: Huh? Sacramento? What's in Sacramento?

Eve: You heard from the board yet?
Manny: Still here, ain't I?
Eve: Well, don't convict yourself before they do man.
Manny: I'm not. I stand by what I did.
Eve: Really? You stand by starting a fire at 42, man? Do you hear yourself?
Manny: Look, I regret the fire. And I regret that it may have cost me my job. But I don't regret punching Luke. He deserved it. And besides, what I did got Three Rock here, so get off my back.
Eve: And you really believe that?
Manny: I don't need a lecture, Eve. You're not my Captain.
Eve: Okay. I'm not his Captain.

Eve: Alright. Let's restock supplies, head back to Three Rock, and grab three to four months of sleep.
Bode: Back to Three Rock. I like the way that sounds.

Eve: Listen, I may or may not be your Captain, but I'm going to talk - when was the last time you hit the shower trailer?
Manny: I worked a 16 all day. Just leave me alone.
Eve: I know. You were working while everyone else was off. That's what guilty people do. You know, you're putting up this front like justice was served. But you know you're in the wrong. And you're ashamed. Because Three Rock, they don't just look up to you, Manny. You are the blueprint. Not just on how to be a firefighter. But how to turn your life around. Become a good person. What you're showing them right now, is that if you ever make a mistake, just go ahead and hang that up. Is that what you want to show them? Hmm? Is that what you want to show Bode? Or your daughter? Or me? Take a shower, Manny.

Vince: I just got the most surreal phone call from CDCR. Reese, remember the division chief up at Lazarus, apparently he was so impressed with you fishing me out of that fire that he submitted you for an extraordinary conduct credit.
Eve: Wait. Does he qualify?
Bode: When, when do I find out?
Vince: That's what I just found out. You got the credit. And they're taking twelve months off your sentence.
Sharon: But he only had 11 months left. What does that mean?
Vince: That means there's some paperwork and stuff. But, uh, you're free.
Sharon: Oh my God.
Vince: You're coming home.

Eve: Some guy from LMU heard there's contraband beer floating around.
Jake: Well, we could always get one.
Eve: Mmm hmm.
Bode: What, just pass one beer around, like ...
Everyone: Stacey Jenson's sweet 16 party.
Eve: Yo, that was the night I found my people.
Jake: Aww, that was beautiful.
Eve: Okay, I'm trying to be serious. Listen, Riley and you guys, I just, I don't know. Y'all liked me for me.
Jake: And we still do.
Bode: Mm. Mostly.
Eve: Even funnier, now that I finally found my footing at Three Rock, just in time for them to close it.
Bode: We got right now. And that's it.
Eve: To the bubble.

Eve: Eyes and ears, Three Rock. The Lazareth fire is a complex campaign fire currently being fought by over 2,000 firefighters. And it's winning. It's a beast job. We're going to be living on-site until we can kill it. So say goodbye to camp for a little while.
Inmate: For how long?
Cole: Yeah, what do we tell our families, Captain?
Eve: Well, it's unknown. It could be days. It could be, uh, weeks.
Cole: Yeah, what about Three Rock?
Eve: We saved Three Rock so we could fight fire. We get to go do that.
Bode: But what are we coming back to, Eve?
Eve: It's unknown, Bode.

Eve: Uh, ma'am. If I may? All the dozers in the world can't match teams. We need con's crew up there. They're a huge part of CalFire's operations. And if you want to put out that fire, save Three Rock.
Sharon: Yes. She's right. That's what this night is about.
Governor: Yes, I see that. I have to say I'm surprised at the big push. Luke made a very strong case when he recommended closing Three Rock.

Eve: Manny, I need you to calm down.
Manny: He lied, Eve. He lied to all of us. And he played you. He had us jumping through hoops, knowing that we don't have any hope. Ain't that right, Luke?
Luke: Manny. Hey pal. Um, I don't think this is really the right time or the place to get into this.
Manny: Naw, I think this is the perfect time and place. Look these men in the face. And you tell your nephew that you're the reason, you're the reason that Three Rock's getting shut down. Tell them. And then you tell these men why you got their hopes up for nothing.

The inmate firefighters at Three Rock Conservation Camp are learning skills that will help them in the workforce. But more importantly, they gain a sense of community inclusion and service.

Manny: Listen. It looks like these DOC guards are sticking around. And there's a petition to shut down Three Rock.
Eve: Yeah, I, uh I saw that. Look, I think when everything settles, people will realize that Rudy didn't kill the Sheriff.
Manny: Naw. It doesn't matter. They look at us. All they see are convicts.
Eve: So we have to do better at defending ourselves.Talk about the programs and how it helps these guys.
Manny: Eve. Eve. Eve. I made my own daughter okay with my incarceration. Now we gotta do the same thing to this town. We gotta flip the narrative. Make them proud to be associated with people who are fighting to turn their lives around. Three Rock doesn't make this town dangerous. Three Rock makes this town great.
Eve: You think they'll believe that?
Manny: Absolutely. Cause it's true.
