Kayla: You need to listen to me for a second. Nurse Whitley kidnapped and manipulated your father. She drugged him and made all of us believe he was dead. There is no way that any of that is similar to what you did. And aside from all that, it's not the way the universe works.
Theo: You don't believe in karma?
Kayla: I think I'm of two minds about it, really. I mean, I have seen so many good people have really bad things happen to them and also the opposite. But you know what I do believe? That being a good person is its own reward and that kindness and decency can be contagious. You, Theo, are a good person. And I believe -- no, I know -- that the only people responsible for your dad's condition are Colin Bedford and Whitley King.
