Dr. Gutenberg, GAU's president, shows up at football practice to protest the new recruits because boosters are complaining. Sal is training top recruit Marco Galvez, who is unhappy at Clearwater State. Jordan brings Liv to a dance class to work out her tension. Layla has brunch with her father, then he joins her to help with business. Liv bolts from hip-hop class. Clearwater State wants to build a campaign around gay Marco. Skye tells Patience she and Coop are on a break. Jordan encourages Liv to speak from the heart should she win. Grace can't take Spencer's room away from him. Alicia finds out about the awards ceremony from Denise and Grace, since they assume she's going with Spencer. J.P. suggests Layla find a life-work balance. Spencer has Marco record his narrative so he can replay it to remind himself if he ever feels lost. Patience feels lost as Patience 2.0.  Skye suggests an acoustic version of Patience's new songs. Alicia, after informing Spencer they're back together because of Olivia, insists they go to Liv's ceremony. Patience plays Layla an acoustic version of her album and Layla agrees with her idea. John Salley hosts the awards ceremony. Spencer and Liv clear up any misunderstanding about his attending the ceremony. Jayden Davis, aka Olivia, wins and Layla walks her up to the podium. Olivia chucks her written remarks, then honors Billy in her acceptance speech. Spencer suggests that Liv live in the now. Spencer encourages Grace to make her craftroom. Layla sent J.P. to meet with the British artist so she could attend the ceremony with Jordan. Skye kisses Patience, who bolts. Marco transfers to GAU, making Gutenberg happy.
