... Dusty angrily calls out Holden as he sits at the Lakeview bar. He again insists that Holden doesn't really understand what's going on...

... But as he puffs up his chest, Emily turns around and reveals that she is back in town. Holden walks out so Dusty explains that Lily's upstairs after Luke (Van Hansis) became paralyzed and Holden blamed her ...

... Dusty apologizes for betraying her by sleeping with Alison but when he touches her hand, she quickly pulls it back and boasts she's not the sad woman she was when she left town. He agrees to give her the job at the newspaper back. Lily wakes and comes downstairs, looking for Dusty but eventually ending up at the farm where she denies to Holden that she slept with Dusty....

... Holden admits he didn't think she did but adds that he is no longer angry about what she's done. He points out that she keeps so many secrets from everyone and claims it's like she lives another life. Holden wonders why they should even stay together and chastises Lily for abandoning their kids to be with Dusty...

... Gwen tries to fight the pain but eventually asks Will to take her to the hospital. As Barbara admits to a suspicious Alison that she hasn't seen her son this happy in months, Will calls about Gwen. Barbara advises Alison and then offers to take her with her...

... Bob calls Barbara in with Gwen and Will so that Dr. Akido can report that the egg did not take with Gwen. Later, Bob reports to Gwen and Will that her body is not capable of maintaining a pregnancy...

... After hearing the sad news, Alison runs out and bumps into Chris. He takes her to the Lakeview for a drink and runs into Emily who kisses him passionately before telling Dusty it's Chris who has changed her life in Paris. Lily returns to Dusty and claims her marriage is over...
