Rebecca and Aidan are emotionally drained over what happened to Bernie.

The Dutch, or the elders, are visiting. They live with the Amish because it is the closest they can come to an orthodox lifestyle.  They consider the way Aidan lives to be an insult to the empire they have built.

Somebody kidnaps Josh while he is throwing away trash in the ally. Bishop captured him to entertain the vampire elders with a werewolf dog fight.

A lot of back story from the 50s was uncovered between Bishop (who was once in love) and Aidan to explain their current relationship.

Sally, Josh and Aidan work different angles to try to free Josh from his predicament.

Bishop thinks the elders have shown up to kill him.
