On Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? Season 1 Episode 5, Ben is having cold feet about the big day, which forces the couple to go to therapy to work on their relationship. Joined by Bachelor alums Emily and Haley and Lace and Grant, Ben and Lauren try to navigate why they are in different places regarding the wedding. 

At the rope course, the twins and Lauren are not thrilled to learn that they are expected to go eight stores high while blindfolded and connected to their partner. Lace and Grant successfully make it through the course, but Ben and Lauren have a harder time communicating, but ultimately he gives her enough support that gets them through the course. 

The episode takes a dark turn when Ben starts to cry during therapy and admits that he does not think he is ready to get married. After more discussion, Ben tells Lauren that he definitely wants to postpone the wedding, which leaves Lauren visibility upset and running to her sister for support.

The couple heads back to where it all began, the infamous Bachelor mansion, and talk to Chris Harrison about postponing. After all of the drama, Ben surprises Lauren with a new car and a plan for a road trip back to Denver. The road trip is only a temporary fix because everyone keeps asking Ben and Lauren about their wedding plans. After a conversation with an older couple who have been married for 70 years, Ben feels better about the whole process.
