As Beckett begins to worry that Castle may be sticking with this private investigator gig strictly out of pride when no real cases turn up, Rick manages to convince her that he's willing to pay his dues in Castle Season 7 Episode 12 . And thanks to Beckett he gets his first real client in Sophia, a telenovela actress who hires Castle to find the missing purse of her dead friend Ana.

As Beckett and team search for the killer, Castle is on the hunt for a purse supposedly worth a half a million dollars and containing a mysterious USB drive inside. But Rick is in for a surprise when the investigation leads him to a knife wielding hired gun and his own client holding a gun on him. But Rick Castle considers that all in a day's work for a P.I. and luckily he's got Esposito, Ryan and Beckett to come to the rescue just when he needs it.
But the purse isn't exactly what Castle was expecting and the USB drives leads to a scheme that lead to the victim's demise.
