Recap

Joy visits New York with some new intel about the God Account -- her research revealed that the Friend Suggestions aren't random. They are all part of a hacked database for New York and Sons, an insurance company.

As Rakesh works to figure out who is behind the hack, Joy and Miles team up for their latest Friend Suggestion, a Holocaust survivor named Abe Cohen.

Abe is hoping to get access to his $80 thousand savings to purchase a pocket watch belonging to his father.

He hopes that the pocket watch will tell him if his sister, Rose, survived the Holocaust.

He tells Joy and Miles that he gave her the watch right before they jumped off the train heading to Auschwitz.

As they jumped, they got separated and out of fear that he'd get caught, Abe kept running.

"My whole life I wondered what happened to her," Abe said adding that he hoped she made it out and lived a good life just like he had.

Joy promises to get his money from the landlord so that they can bid on the pocket watch.

During the auction, Abe is outbid by $10 thousand dollars.

Joy believes she can get him the pocket watch if he can prove that it belonged to him, but Abe cannot.

She then puts her skills to the test to secure a look at the Chain of Command, which reveals that the pocket watch was found at the concentration camps at Auschwitz.

Abe realizes that despite his optimism, his sister died in Auschwitz.

When Joy's meeting gets moved around, Miles poses as her paralegal and realizes that the time change was no accident.

They run into the buyer of the pocket watch, a middle-aged woman who says it once belonged to her grandmother's father.

Joy and Miles realize that the woman is Rose's granddaughter.

They arrange a meeting between her and Abe, but when Abe gets to the restaurant, it's revealed that Rose is still alive.

The siblings reunite, and Abe meets his whole family.

Meanwhile, Rakesh realizes the hacker created a backdoor so that they'd always be able to access the database at New York and Sons. They track the man down who says that he was paid to do that by Alfonso Jefferies, the owner of the company.

Soon, Rakesh realizes that Alfonso and Reverend are connected. Arthur tells Miles that he saved Alfonso's life in the U.S Army.

The best part is that Alfonso is coming to Arthur and Trish's wedding. Arthur also asks Miles to be his best man.

Miles tells Cara how far they've come to figuring out who is behind the God Account and asks her to give him another chance.

Cara meets up with her mother who was hired at the hospital. As she waits for her, she sees Ali leaving the oncology department.

When she confronts Ali, Miles' sister admits that she's not okay.

God Friended Me Season 2 Episode 11 Quotes

Ali: But it means so much to you. I mean, even you can't deny that you are a different person ever since the God Account came into your life. I mean, it's changed you, Miles, for the better.
Miles: Yes, it's changed me. But so did Cara.
Ali: Then, you need to tell her that. Make sure she's on board so you're not doing this for nothing.

Miles: If I told you what brought us here, you would think I was crazy.
Abe: Lucky for you, I like crazy.
