Recap

In Kabul in 2020, Joey plays pool with some guy and asks for a top-up (Drugs). He notices a guy who acts like he owns the place. The guy is the one Stabler talked toa few weeks ago. He thinks he's got a monopoly because he speaks English but his contact requires in Farsi and no longer has any interest in him and wants to negotiate outside. Joey overpowers him and throws him out.

Military police show up and get Joey.

Joey is in a cell when the guy from the bar shows up. Joey has been dishonrably discharged, but is not interested in a job. The guy says someone at the bar was supposed to watch his back, but that's what Joey did instead. He thinks Joey needs him too and shows him a packet of heroin.

In the present, Joey is staring out the window. Readcoat says he can tell he's not himself and would hate to lose him. They talk about adaptability.

Stabler wakes Varga up. Varga says Joey is a globetrotter and was the only passenger listed on a private jet. Stabler interrupts his explanation to say that it's Emery's plane.

Bell reassures Stabler that Joey likely didn't have anything to do with Sam's murder.

Jet and Reyes come in laughing and claim they just happened to come in at the same time.

Briefing time. Emery's shipment probably includes weapons but they don't know what or when. Bell will contact Port Authority. The Boones aren't talking so nothing there.. Bell says she will crash an ATF interview.

Tyler dosn't like being questioned by Trish and Bell. They warn him to start talking. He says the shipments are smuggled into the winery. Their contract was a foreign dude and and Joey was with him. Joey wasn't there when they got Sam's body. He saw Sam die.

There is a flashback of a guy questioning Sam and then shooting him. He says even if Joe was there he was an addict and couldn't shoot straight.

Trish wants to know why Bell hijacked her interrogation and who Joey is. Bell tells her nothing.

Randall and Stabler drink and Randall hopes Stabler knows what he's doing.

Joey is driving a car and sppeds up when someone is following him. He and the other car are going drag race speeds. Joey looks strung out.He parks and runs. He is knocked to the ground, tied up, and taken away.

His kidnappers are Stabler and Randall.

Joey makes a lot of noise about how this is illegal and how the guys he works for will hurt him. Stabler says either he cooperates or he'll arrest him and let him dry out in a jail cell. He's a person of interest in a homicide.

Joey is sick and whines they did this to him. He says he had nothing to do with the cop's death. He doesn't know why Sam was at the warehouse. Stabler mentions a name that Joey recognizes and asks him to tell him about Emery. He claims he only imported wine and neer saw any heroin. Stabler says he brought Sam into the OCBB. He was chasing down the heroin because he asked him to. He was worried about Joey. Joey says he didn't ask him to get involved. Stabler says he had no choice. He couldn't let him flush his life down the toilet. He leaves Joey locked in a room.

Jet has gotten a laptop from the Boone farm. Maybe they can find a pattern.

An ATF guy shows up and complains this is a joint operation. Bell says she accepts his apology for not telling her that they made a deal with Tyler.

Vargas plugs in the laptop but there was malware on it that gives access to the machine he's using.

Randall brings in Gabriel, and EMT (looks like the same guy who was helping Mama Stabler) who can help Joey.

Jet was thinking about a security cam that also bounced all over the place. She knows where it is located. They can bypass the security system and get in and try to find the server.

Vargas is giddy with excitement at his first operation, and Bell hopes she doesn't regret this.

Jet turns off the lights remotely to give Vargas two seconds to bypass a security system and transfer data to the server. Jet n otices more people coming but she can't get a hold of them. She says she's being jammed.

Bell calls for backup and she and Jet go into the area where the server is. Reyes hears gunshot and says they have to go. Vargas says he's only at 45%. Reyes says they have to go now. He says someone is coming, keep downloading while I check it out.

There's a lot of gunfire in the dark and it's hard to see what's going on. Vargas finally finishes. Reyes tells him to stay close while they try to get out of here. They hear brakes squealing and see shadowy figures. There is a lot of noise while Bell and Jet hide

Gabriel checks Joey out. Joey wants him to talk to him directly. He tells Joey to eat and drink. He got Joey a prescription for clonodine. Also Randall told him Elliot was the one paying. Randall putas a blanket over Joey from Mama. Joey insists he has to get back. He says remember when we put Pop in the ground? It was so cold there. Why didn't they come to the wake? He says he broke that day.

Everyone is safe now and Stabler talks to Bell about what info he got from Joey. Bell says her uncle went through this and she knows it's hard.

Jet says they will know more after they get the box up and running.

Trish wants to talk to Stabler. How dare he not tell her Joe is on Emery's crew? After what they went through she thought she could trust him. STabler says he is trying to get Joey clean so he can tell them what he knows. No more secrets.

Eli calls Stabler. He says he needs to talk to him about something. But Joey makes a lot of noise and Stabler hangs up. He finds Joey has broken a window. STabler tackles him and Gabriel gives him an injection. Randall says he took the cuffs off because he seemed fine.

Joey is doing better and is back in cuffs. Gabriel takes off to get Mama from Maureen's place. Stabler takes the cuffs off again. Joey apologizes. He can't believe he tried to steal from Ma. They joke about who is Ma's favorite. Joey is hungry but doesn't want STabler's food. Stabler suggests Luger burgers but they're not open yet.

Stabler comes back and finds Joey sucker punched Randall and escaped.

Joey shows up at the private airstrip and gets on a plane.

Emery's tech woman is destroying data. Joey tels Emery he got clean on his orders.

Joey gets in a car and makes a call. He tells someone they need to talk.

Joey meets Stabler and says he is still working for Emery so Stabler now has a guy on the inside. He has to make it right. Stabler doesn't want him to. Joey says he knows when the cargo will arrive and will find out where. He's in. He's the guy.  He says he's sorry and he can't forget how much he scared Ma last time he saw her.  Stabler says he will run this idea by Bell but if anything doesn't feel right, Joey has to go.

JOey tries to find out what they other guy needs. He fights with the guy even though Stabler wants him to take it easy The sound goes in and out. The guy wants to know where Joey was all this time. The cops see that Tobias has a gun. Joey says relax, we're on the same team.

Stabler and Bell break into the loading dock.

Tobias says Joey is a traitor and a liar. He pats him down but finds nothing. The feed comes back on.

Joey punches Tobias and tells him not to question him again. Reyes tells Stabler to stand down.

Stabler comes home and Eli is there with his girlfriend, Becky. Eli says they have some news. They're moving back to NY together. He wants to stay here but won't answer if he's dropped out of school. Stabler's phone rings. He has to go.

The shipment of weapons is being sold online at an auction. All the buyers are untraceable. The weapons are heavy artillery.
