Benson interviews the kid who attacked her. He wishes she'd killed him. Eventually he tellls her he is 15 and a refugee from El Salvador that was looking for his mom in NY but she didn't want anything to with him because BX9 raped her and threatened to do it again if he didn't soldier up.

Duarte doesn't appreciate Benson interfering with his case by being empathetic. She wants to reconnect the kid with his mother. She sees him and his mother are victims. Duarte says gang stuff is complicated. He wants to have a drink with her and says he has something to show her. He takes her to the woods and shows her a clearing full of underwear. The kids who come from Central America are forced into the gang to stop their mothers from being raped.

Twelve rape cases have been closed in the Bronx. The DOJ people don't want to leave yet and say they need Benson to vet new hires. Since she isn't here, they insist Fin do it.

Muncie is disgusted Duarte knew about this and didn't tell her. Duarte says he was trying to do a surveillance op. He wants the kid to ID these pieces of underwear. Benson says he is not needed here. He says she is a victim and it happened in his borough. BEnson says they are doing this her way. He thinks his way is faster because he is putting the screws to only one kid.

Muncy says she will try to find the kid's mother.

McGrath calls and wants to know where Benson is. She says she has found a way to both close cases and find Papa. McGrath hopes she will close these cases and is glad she and Duarte are on the same page, which she says they are not.

Muncy gets a call from a contact who wants to talk to her. She was raped last year and now she wants to talk because her brother was killed in a gang fight.

Maria will talk in private but not testify in court because her parents don't know and she doesn't want them to ruin their belief that her brother was a good kid.

She says that her brother said no at first to BX9 but then one night two guys were waiting in the back seat of her car and they raped her and stole her underwear. Rodrigo joined the gang that night. He was recruited by the guys who raped her. Benson needs their names.

The cops go after the gang members in question and one runs away and the other has a gun. Duarte shoots.

Fin and Bruno lie to their suspect and say his friend was killed to try to get him to talk.

Benson talks to Carisi. The kid who tried to kill her sees Hector and tries to attack him. Hector laughs. Benson tells him they found the rape tree. He wants a lawyer. Carisi wants the kid to be a witness. Benson says no, he's a kid and he's scared. Carisi asks why she is protecting this kid.

Carisi and the DOJ guy are worried about the cops lying to the suspect. They have Maria who won't testify. They want to rattle the kid she shot. Muncie has found the mother.

BEnson tries to convince Albert that he and his mom can go into witness protection if he testifies. He doesn't think his mom wants him and thinks Benson wants to use him. The mom comes in and is there for his son.

Duarte thinks Benson is too empathetic. She wants to wait til tomorrow to go on with the case. Muncie calls. Maria wants to meet. She and Duarte go to the place and it's Papa who is there, not Maria. Maria is standing in the doorway watching.

Papa taunts Benson and Duarte. He claims he's a concerned citizen and that he didn't have anything to do with the tree. He says it is embarrassing. Maybe if Bronx SVU wasn't messed up this wouldn't have happened. He is dealing with the problem. Duarte thinks he should turn himself in. He claims he started BX9 to stop cops from picking on Central American kids and it isn't a gang. He asks if Benson wants some ice for that eye. She wants to leave. Maria whispers she is sorry. Benson says that makes two of them.

The DNA comes in and connects "Bugbear" to the rapes. He is angry that they lied about his friend dying. Benson says they can make a deal if he testidies and Duarte says they will offer Hector the same deal. A bunch of inmates stab "Bugbear."

The witness dies and the other is not talking. Now there is nothing. (Also for some reason Benson doesn't know Spanish even though she was fluent in it in the past.)

Valesco says he knows about loyalty to gangs.

Albert won't tell them who the "Maestro" was. Valesco says he knows what Albert is going through. Valesco talks to him in Spanish. Benson says he has to tell her so he can see the stars again. Albert says he works for Papa and said they could be soldiers if they killed Benson.

The cops raid a house and a woman yells at their suspect, who insists loudly he didn't do nothing. He says hit me or they'll kill him in jail. Benson slugs him.

The suspect makes a statement admitting he told the kids to kill Benson on Papa's orders and he has recordings of conversations etc. He wants protection and will testify. He wants out of BX9 without dying.

Benson sees McGrath who says she was right. He will be happy when Papa is in prison.

Bronx SVU has its new detectives. Bruno doesn't know what he is doing next.

Papa waves to his girlfriend and gets in a car. Valesco has replaced his driver. Benson and Duarte arrest him He guesses he needs a lawyer. Benson lets Duarte do the honors.
