Hope and the students tried to keep the school safe from the rising threat of Triad Industries, but one of the agents used a bullet made with Malivore tar to shoot Josie. 

He then locked Josie, Lizzie, and Hope up. MG saved them after overpowering his mother. 

The school was in a state of disarray and every and the students managed to overpower the agents. Alaric showed up and told Hope that he had a foolproof plan from the travelers to keep the school safe. 

Hope went off to save Landon, who was being pursued by Malivore's last creature, the headless horseman. She helped save him, but Landon used his phoenix fighting skills to save himself. In doing so he killed Clarke. 

Hope went on to kill Landon temporarily, called Alaric and said that she realized she had to end her life with the aim of stopping Malivore. She was the loophole in this instance. 

Alaric teared, up and went on to burn her belongings and had a note that said he had to find Landon. 

Hope took Clarke back to Malivore with her. 

Josie and Lizzie continued to try to find out the truth about the merge.
