Penelope, daughter of Vice President Blanton Silver, sings in church. The stained-glass windows start melting. It's a sign she's a witch and the parishioners rush from the church. On the flight home from the battle against the Kamarilla, Biddy Tally comforts Adil over the loss of Abigail and Raelle. While arguing with Scylla, Willa denies that the Spree attacked the Bellweather wedding. Willa shows Scylla a recent Kamarilla attack on the Spree leadership, killing six. Gen. Bellweather confronts Alder. Anacostia hugs Tally. The Army leadership learns about the attack on the Spree then about Penelope's power. Suspicious soldiers arrest Abigail and Raelle. Alder offers Tally an opportunity to be reverted to her natural age. Then Tally preceives that Abigail and Raelle are alive. She agrees to Alder's offer. Alder informs Silver that Penelope must be tested. A ceremony is performed in which a Biddy trainee replaces Tally. In the hospital, Tally catches up with Abigail and Raelle.
