Murphy is freaking out with worry over Avery and calling Frank every hour in the middle of the night. Avery finally calls from Kabul and he's eating breakfast from Starbucks. He found her contact but their convo is cut short because starbucks forgot his cinnamon.

In the office, Murphy and Frank are sleeping on the couch. Miles wakes them up. She was calling them all night.

Corky wants to interview Mike Pence one on one. Diana shows up to ask how Afghanistan story is going. Diana goes off about Avery and how she won't fund him when Murphy stands up to attack her. 

At Phil's Phyllis is talking about not having a holiday party. She has no color in the episode. She doesn't want to decorate. Jim comes into the bar and Phyllis looks happy. She tells Jim there's not going to be a party. Pat shows 

Jim: Hello, young Pat. What the hell are you wearing?

Phyllis keeps telling everyone there's not going to be a party. Pat tells everyone about no party.

They give her a hard time. She caves.

Phyllis gives Miles a look again.

Murphy is going crazy. She's vacuuming the couch.

Avery calls again. He's on the border of Pakistan. Something happens and she loses touch with Avery. He's taken to an undisclosed location. The contact shows up. He looks very comical. the way he comes in with the cape.

People arrive and they're doing a sweep. They're hiding in a mud hut.

Pat is DJing the party and the music is awful

Phyllis has red sparkly ribbon in her hair. 

Back at Phil's, the music is terrible still. Murph and the gang show up. Murphy hasn't heard from Avery in days. 

Jim and Murphy are talking. Miles sits with Diana. There might be some chemistry there.

Corky tried to talk to the VP and was threatened with death. 

The VP goes in to go to the bathroom. He sits down and Corky is in the next stall. He starts going and Corky starts questioning him.

Jim and Phyllis are flirting a little.

Murphy is getting a call from Avery. He's safe and headed home. Murphy's going home. 

Diana kisses Miles. Phyllis kisses Jim.

Pat got it on video. 

Benny has a happy new year hat. Avery's home. He called her from the cab. She starts hitting him with a pillow for not calling her. They hug. He got the video. They start watching Toy Story. He puts on his cowboy hat.
