Sam and Callen are driving around town when they get pulled over by a police officer. They assume it's because he was on his mobile phone. It wasn't. Sam was surrounded by FBI agents and arrested for murder.

With strong evidence against Sam for murder, Callen was put on desk duty. That didn't stop him from using his own methods to uncover the truth, while the rest of the team investigated the murder. Why was the woman killed? And, did Sam have a connection to her?

The investigation leads them to a former Navy SEAL who is relentless about uncovering fake SEALS and outing them. The team initially thought he was targeting Sam, but it was much more complicated than that.
