A truck is stolen in a well-executed mission, with several Marine guards killed. A new supervisor is filling in while Pride is on administrative leave. Pride has been busy restoring his blown-up bar while on leave. Pride is afraid of losing control again, so he's hesitent to go back to NCIS. Sebastian figured out nuclear waste was stolen. Boyd comes in and says, since terrorists are likely involved, the case has been turned over to the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI. The feds think the goal is a dirty bomb, to be used in another city. LaSalle and the team decide to investigate on their own. Loretta and new Mayor Zena Taylor approach Pride at the reopening of his bar, trying to convince him to come back to work. Pride is helping out NOPD investigate as a civilian. Patton examines the laptop of Deleon, the suspect who Percy killed when he opened first on her and Gregorio. Pride suggests the terrorists might be hiding in some abandoned tunnels. They find the hideout, but it appears the dirty bomb has already been built. Pride convinces the feds that New Orleans is the target for an anti-nuclear group. They're planning to detonate the bomb amid a fireworks barge. Pride has a plan for he and LaSalle to sneak up on the terrorists by boat, then swim the rest of the way. After a firefight, Pride pulls the ignition wires for the bomb. Pride returns to work and Boyd leaves, after warning him not to go rogue again. Gregorio suggests to Percy that they take over Deleon's apartment, because the landlord is giving them a price break because of its history. A man punches Pride outside his bar because his actions cost New Orleans the shipyard.
