Dominic finally comes home after months away. He says his feelings for Nova are stronger than ever. They attend Prosper and Sandy's wedding together. Afterward, he sees Nova writing something new. She says it's about all of the people she's loved in her life. She tells him about reconnecting with Camille. He asks if he can read it, and she says she'll show it to him once it's finished.

When Nova steps away to take a phone call from Charley, Dominic reads it anyway and sees that she saw Calvin while he was in Africa. He's angry. He feels as though he's been loving Nova while she's struggled to love him back. Nova insists she's right there with him, but it's unclear whether he believes her.

Sandy and Prosper get married with their family and friends there to celebrate. The reception is interrupted when they realize that sugar cane is burning nearby on Landry's land. The fire is contained, but everyone is shaken up and wondering why the fire was started. Violet encourages everyone to continue the party.

Darla decides to see Sam Landry, confront him about the fire, and see what she can get out of him.

Darla realizes that the Landrys have been putting in for disaster relief claims. Further research shows that white farmers' claims are all approved, while black farmers' claims are all rejected. It's proof of discrimination.

Billie has Vince fly down to St. Jo to help with the investigation. The two reconnect, and Billie asks Vince to marry her. He says yes.

Nova gives Ralph Angel a check. It's an advance payment for the movie. She hopes he'll use it to try and get their land back.

Mr. Miller won't take Ralph Angel's payment on the farm loan until he can confirm the money wasn't gotten illegally. Ralph Angel calls him out on letting the Landrys miss payments. Miller says the Landrys are an upstanding family, not a lazy thug. Miller says he's here to maintain the natural order.

When Darla asks if there's anything they can do to help this process along, Miller admits that "greasing the wheels" is normal. He won't guarantee results, but he'll take cash. Little does he know that Darla is recording the conversation.

Violet and Hollywood fly to Seattle to find her friend Betty and see what she knows about Landry's schemes and if she can stop them.
