Betty has pieced together the affair that happened between Archie and Ms. Grundy.

Archie and Mr. Andrews listen to Ms. Grundy perform at the park. Mr. Andrews invites Ms. Grundy out to dinner for the night.

Jughead is upset that the town's Twilight Drive-in is shutting down. He invites them out for the night, but Betty's mind is distant.

Cheryl makes a snide comment to Mrs. Lodge as she's waiting tables. Mrs. Lodge fires back and shuts her up.

Betty confronts Archie about his affair with Ms. Grundy. Veronica, curious over their exchange, joins in and overhears the conversation. Before Betty can give advice, her mother pulls her away.

Cheryl snaps a photo of Mrs. Lodge arguing with a mysterious man near the diner.

Betty conducts an interview with Ms. Grundy to get dirt on her. She finds out Ms. Grundy tutored Jason a while back and when she oversteps her boundaries, Ms. Grundy ends the interview early.

Cheryl informs Veronica about the photo. The "Southside Serpents" are a dangerous gang in Riverdale. She asks her mother about them and Mrs. Lodge says that she went to high school with some of them.

Betty and Veronica uncover details from Ms. Grundy's past, like that she's doesn't exist. The only trace of her is from seven years ago of an old woman who died. Archie asks Ms. Grundy and she reveals she auditioned for symphonies after graduating but never made the cut.

Betty and Veronica break into Ms. Grundy's car and find a box. The box  includes a fake I.D. with the name "Jennifer Gibson" and a gun.

Mrs. Lodge delivers a bribe to the mayor. In exchange for money, the land from the drive-in will be given to Lodge Industries for development.

Archie confronts Ms. Grundy about her fake identity. She reveals that she was in an abusive marriage and got a divorce, changed her name and moved to Riverdale for safety.

Kevin's dad, Sheriff Keller, has a wall in the house tracking the Jason Blossom murder investigation.

Mrs. Cooper discovers the gun in Betty's dresser drawer. She begins searching through the room and pulls Betty away.

While sitting with Cheryl, Veronica notices Mrs. Lodge sneaking away at the drive-in. Her mother is conducting an illegal deal with the biker gang.

Archie gives Ms. Grundy a gift as a thank you, but he also ends the relationship. Mrs. Cooper, Mr. Andrews and Betty burst into the room, with Mrs. Cooper bringing the affair to light. She read it in Betty's diary.

Kevin and Joaquin, a member of the Southside Serpents, are making out at the drive-in. They exchange numbers but decide to keep their romance a secret.

Mrs. Cooper wants to bring the affair to light and tell everyone. Betty plots to say that she lied about everything. But Ms. Grundy offers to quit and leave town, so that nobody will ever know.

Someone has broken into Kevin's house and has vandalized his father's office/destroyed the investigation wall.

Veronica's father entered into a deal with the Southside Serpents to lower the property value of the drive-in. The plot was to drive it out of business and purchase the land for cheap.

Jughead was secretly living at the drive-in and now has to leave since it's closing down. It turns out his father is the leader of the Southside Serpents.
