Recap

Philip heads out of town for a mission with his former lover, Irina. They are tasked with bringing down a Polish dissident that wants to break Poland's ties with the Soviet Union. Irina gets close to the dissident and sets him up for beating and raping her. In the aftermath, he is forced to discontinue his plans.

Back home, Elizabeth faces off with Claudia. They come to an understanding that they don't like each other. She has dinner at the Beeman's and finds out that Stan's marriage is troubled. She realizes how much she misses Philip and calls him. When he gets home, they agree to try and have a "real" marriage, but that's after Philip lied to her about Irina.

On the mission, Irina told Philip that she had his son and that she's ready to be with him. She wants him to run away with her. Was that a KGB test? Or, was it real? Philip beats and has sex with Irina to set up the Polish dissident, but was it more? Philip decides to go back home to Elizabeth instead of staying with Irina. It's unclear if Philip really has a son with her or if that was just a Soviet lie.

Stan misses dinner with the Jennings and instead goes out with his partner. Chris tries to convince him to hook up with someone at the bar, but instead Stan calls Nina. They meet up and Nina kisses him in the car. They end up sleeping together. Stan goes to his boss to get her out of the program, but that's not possible.
