Charlie asks Emma to skip work and spend the day with him, but she declines after a call alerting her to the team finding a partial plate on the car Cahrlie was driving the night he met Connor. Charlie overhears this and later calls his friend Otto, who has the car at a junkyard and tells him to get rid of it.

Daphne meets with one of her rivals, who refuses to work with her because she has too much heat on her from the FEDs. Daphne promises a way to get that heat off them.

After lunch with an old sorority sister, who happens to be the Chief of Staff to the House Majority WHIP, she gets the name of a DC fixer, John Baylor, who has a black book full of blackmail. Daphne enlists the Nicolettis with getting the black book from Baylor.

Birdie discovers that Baylor was MI6 and working undercover at a local university before he had his cover blown by the dead. They lure him in by pretending to be involved with a politician's son with a bad reputation. After the politician's son checks out of a hotel, they trash the room and get Baylor there to help them clean the mess.

Otto calls Charlie to tell him there are suits at the junkyard, and the car he needs to be destroyed is still in the lot.

Baylor destroys Birdie's phone, which she was going to use to get into stuff, so she gets herself a ride in his car, where she notices a locker key before he kicks her out.

Jennifer suggests that David post more on social media to appeal to the 18-29 age demographic.

Charlie switches the plates on the car while on the phone with Emma, and she narrowly misses him at the junkyard.

The plates they're searching for turn up in Mexico, and Cas wants Emma to head up an operation that will be relocating to Mexico.

Charlie and Emma meet at a hotel for a staycation. Emma then invites Charlie to Mexico and tells Charlie that she loves him, but Charlie hesitates in saying it back, and Emma leaves.

Birdie tracks Baylor's locker to the library on the campus where he worked. Charlie and Birdie get into the locker and get the microfiche, unaware that they set off an alarm that tips Baylor off. While Birdie scans the microfiche onto a flash drive, Baylore gets to the library, and Charlie distracts him.

After Leo pulls the fire alarm, Birdie can escape, but Baylor catches Leo at gunpoint. With help from Birdie in the van, Charlie is able to threaten Baylor with information about the wife of the dean who blew his cover, with whom he was having an affair. This allows them to escape.

Charlie gets the flash drive to Daphne, and she tells him she wants to use the information on Emma's family to threaten her.

Charlie tells Emma about Daphne's plan, including that he's working for her, before telling Emma that he loves her.
