Lanford’s official historian decides to do a story on the reopening of the Lunch Box. When Dan breaks open the wall to install a pizza oven, he finds mold. 

Jackie has a nightmare about her mother being a mold monster who tells her she’s going to fail and has squandered everyone’s inheritance. Jackie decides to give up on the restaurant when she doesn’t have the money for the repairs. 

When Louise has already hired someone to replace Becky, Becky convinces her to keep the bar and restaurant open until 4am and she’ll cover the shift. It turns out to be a huge success. 

Harris has been living at Odessa’s for a week. When Darlene sees pictures posted online of Odessa, Harris, and some older guy, she goes to Harris’ apartment to find out what’s going on but Odessa won’t let her in. 

Ben drops off Darlene’s computer off at her house after she leaves it at the office. When Darlene takes off to find Harris, Ben stays and helps Mark with his school project, despite still being angry at Darlene. 

Dan tells Darlene they need to go get Harris. Ben recommends not breaking in so they call the police. Ben and Darlene head to Odessa’s building. The police officer arrives but tells Darlene that the odds are that if they force Harris to return home, she’ll only run away again and to someplace where Darlene can’t find her.

Darlene ends up getting arrested for yelling at Odessa’s window for Harris at 2am. Harris finally comes out and tells her mother that they’ll talk in the morning. 

The Lanford historian writes an article for the paper about Jackie’s troubles opening the Lunch Box. People start to arrive to donate items to help. Jackie decides that if that many people care about the Lunch Box, she’s going to take the chance on opening it.
