No abcesses. The kid throws up and says his neck hurts. He has tick bites on his neck and head.

Lim and Jordan discover the donor lungs have pneumonia.

The parents argue because the father thinks safety is more important than having fun and the boy might have an illness from tick bites while camping.

Morgan finds one of the patients in her trial is nonresponsive. He turns out to be asleep. He awakens and is achey and jaundiced.

In the OR Shaun freaks out that he and Lea will be like these parents and fight all the time. The patient has increased intercranial pressure.

The boy has a brain-eating amoeba and needs to be put in a coma. The father realizes he got it from a nasal rinse he gave him and runs away.

Morgan is concerned because the patient has all these problems and thinks the study has to b e trashed. Park suggests she wait on the doomsday predictions.

The lungs do not appear to be viable.

Ricky's mother sits by him. Victor has not returned. Shaun asks if they love each other. She says they are oil and water but they do. They worked out their issues but then they argued over everything when Ricky came along. But they still love each other -- but is it enough?

Lim goes to give the bad news to her patient. The girl blames herself because wanting new lungs means she wanted someone to die.

Shaun finds Glassman, startling him.

Lim is not ready to give up on the lungs. She tells Jordan she can go home.

Shaun asks if Glassman loved his ex-wives. How does he know if love is enough for him and Lea? He doesn't like worrying about this. He doesn't want things to change. Glassman finds an eye from a stuffed animal he bought Maddie.

Jordan comes back. Lim admits she's doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Jordan says then do something different. Lim gives the lungs steroids and antibiotics.

Lea says she's busy and she agrees they will work their differences out. Shaun sits on the bed waiting for her to be done.  Lea is too tired for this. She goes to the kitchen to keep working.

Lim doesn't want to call it because she doesn't want to admit she's failed this girl who she thought would die ten years ago.

Park says the patient had a pre-existing condition. Morgan says so either he lied or the screeners suck. Park thinks she should stop thinking the worst of everybody.

Ricky has another emergency.

Shaun starts the surgery and Ricky is seizing. Shaun orders more prophynal but that's dangerous. The other thing to do is a partial lobotomy.

Asher talks to Victor and Shelley. The surgery could affect Ricky's speech and memory but he could die without it. Victor thinks they should do it.

Park talks to the patient and realizes that he has been a blood donor for 30 years so he can find out what his status was 2 months ago.

Lea goes to the rubble with snacks for Glassman. He says that Maddie painted his nails once. There were a lot of memories in the house. He is sure Lea isn't here to give him junk food. He says she's fine and should talk to Shaun. She says this was easier.

Jordan checks on Roses who has changed her mind about the vlog. She goes into respiratoryLi failure. Her mother refuses to intubate.

Lim is still looking at the lungs. They are usable. Now the mom is willing to intubate.

Ricky awakens after surgery but doesn't seem to respond to any of Shaun's questions at first. Finally he is able to speak. He remembers his name and where he is.

Lim does the surgery.

Park says the symptoms occurred because the patient stopped donating blood for the trial. No one lied or was incompetent.

The girl awakens from surgery and is able to breathe.

Shaun comes to the rubble to talk to Lea. They hook pinkies. Lea feels the baby kick. She lets Glassman feel too. He is ready to go home.
