The New Adventures of Old Christine

CBS had some pretty major announcements to make today.  First, the network decided to cancel the long-running Without A Trace.

In more positive procedural crime drama news, the eye network renewed Numb3rs because it was less expensive to produce.  Got to love this economy.

Sitcom fans can rejoice that How I Met Your Mother, Rules of Engagement, The New Adventures of Old Christine and the always consistently mediocre Gary Unmarried have all been renewed.

COLD CASE

Synopsis: Pearl Jam will actually be heard throughout the finale to this sixth season. In the two-parter, Rush and the team delve into the 2005 murder of the first female cadet of a local military school who didn't live beyond her first semester. Friday Night Lights' Jesse Plemons guest stars.

THE BIG BANG THEORY
Season finale date(s): May 11                  
Synopsis: As he prepares for a long-term science expedition, Leonard reconsiders his feelings for Penny.  

THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE
Season finale date(s): May 13           
Synopsis: Christine learns some startling news about New Christine's father (Scott Bakula).

GARY UNMARRIED
Season finale date(s): May 13              
Synopsis: Gary and Allison's frustrating personal lives lead them back into the bedroom. Over and over and over.

CBS finally gave us the season four premiere of The New Adventures of Old Christine last night and boy was it worth the wait.

In the episode, entitled "A Decent Proposal," Barb (Wanda Sykes) is about to be deported to the Bahamas and Christine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) is willing to step up and do whatever it takes to keep Barb here... including marrying her! 

Meanwhile, Christine's ex, Richard (Clark Gregg), tries proposing to the new Christine (Emily Rutherford)!
