The gang are all split up as they try to get to survival.

Commonwealth soldiers knock Daryl our and Judith wakes up in the hospital waiting room.

She rushes to the doors and tackles walkers, locking them out before we pick up with Daryl trying to save her.

Magna, Yumiko, Kelly, and Connie are all crying as Luke bleeds out in the hospital. Magna kills him to prevent him from turning into a walker.

Daryl uses his blood to save Judith and they all try to find safety.

However, the walkers breach the hospital and the gang needs to go on foot to save Judith.

Rosita, Eugene, and Gabriel make it to the nursery and fight through a horde of walkers to save the children and get back home.

Rosita jumps on to a drain pipe with her daughter and they fall into a horde of walkers. Rosita fights back and tries to destroy the walkers. She jumps and manages to get to safety this time.

Negan wants to go after Pamela alone and Maggie is not impressed.

He coaches her when everyone takes the fight to the estates.

Pamela isn't allowing the rest of the civilians into the Estates and Daryl tells them that the only enemy is the dead, forcing Vickers' hand to open and let everyone inside.

Princess saves Mercer from prison.

Negan tells Maggie that people like Pamela will hate surviving because of what they'd be losing. Maggie shoots zombified Lance to save Pamela.

In the end, the gang blows up the estates because they know it's too difficult to go up against a group of variant walkers.

Rosita tells Eugene that she got bitten by a walker while saving everyone. She doesn't want him to be sad because she got to save her kid. She also doesn't want him telling anyone.

Everyone gathers to say goodbye to Luke and Rosita tells Gabriel about her bite. Judith watches and sees it. It's a sad scene. Next, we see everyone saying goodbye to Rosita and Eugene is the final person. Rosita is happy it was him.

Maggie tells Negan that he's earned a place in the team but it doesn't mean that she'll always be able to tolerate him. She said that when she looks at him she sees Glen's face and can still hear him scream.

It's a moment of resolve for the pair. Negan doesn't attend Luke's funeral but Daryl sends him a knowing glance out the window.

We head one year later. Ezekiel, Carol, and Mercer are leading the Commonwealth and doing a great job of it. Eugene and Max had a son, named him Rosie.

Daryl says goodbye because he's going off on a mission to save Rick. Daryl isn't going and says that maybe time apart will be good for them.

The kids watch as Daryl goes off into the sunlight and Judith realizes that they have the happy future her family strived for.

In a post-credit scene, we see Rick and Michonne, on two very different continents. Rick is pursued by a CRM helicopter and Michonne has a cool new suit and rides a horse into a crowd.
