at .

Tales of the City has landed a summer premiere date at Netflix.

The streamer has announced the continuation of Armistead Maupin's books will bow Friday, June 7.

Netflix also dropped a first-look trailer, giving us our first look at the revival. Laura Linney is back as Mary Ann for the 10-episode revival.

Mary Ann makes her way back to San Francisco with the aim of reconnecting with both her daughter Shawna (Ellen Page) and her ex-husband, Brian (Paull Gross).

The action picks up 20 years after Mary Ann left them to pursue her career. It's unclear whether that career was a success.

However, Mary Ann gets close to Anna Madrigal (Olympia Dukakis), who still has the loving home on Barbary Lane, and there are some new additions to that home.

The only confirmed returnees are Linney, Gross, and Dukakis. They will appear alongside a slew of new cast members, including Murray Bartlett (Looking), Zosia Mamet (Girls) and Charlie Barnett (Chicago Fire).

Here's the official logline from Netflix:

Inspired by the books of Armistead Maupin, the new Netflix Limited Series Tales of the City begins a new chapter in the beloved story.

Mary Ann (Laura Linney) returns to present-day San Francisco and is reunited with her daughter Shawna (Ellen Page) and ex-husband Brian (Paul Gross), twenty years after leaving them behind to pursue her career.

Fleeing the midlife crisis that her picture-perfect Connecticut life created, Mary Ann is quickly drawn back into the orbit of Anna Madrigal (Olympia Dukakis), her chosen family and a new generation of queer young residents living at 28 Barbary Lane.

Netflix Quotes

Jack: Alyssa is not Salvador!
Vera: She knows all our strengths and all our weaknesses. That makes her exceedingly dangerous.
Jack: Why do you hate her so much?
[Vera stares at him]
Vera: Mr. Morton, you’re relieved from temple duties until further notice.
Jack: You’re benching me?!
Vera: Your infatuation has become a liability.
[Vera walks away]
Jack: Yeah, well, you’re welcome for saving your life!
Vera: I said, “Thank you.”

I do not exist. I exist only if the motherland exists.
