The Leftovers Season 2 Trailer: There Are No Miracles in Miracle

The first full trailer for The Leftovers Season 2 makes it really clear that you cannot run away from your problems in the hopes of finding salvation elsewhere, even if the town is called Miracle.

Yep, despite what we've seen previously, the Garveys, et. al., don't all relocate directly to Jarden, Texas, but to a town named Miracle, which looks a lot more welcoming than Jarden, and a lot more like home.

Upon arriving, the meet the Murphys, who open their home to their new neighbors, but also have some sobering news: if they were hoping to feel safe in their new home because it was somehow more special than other locations, they're out of luck. It's no safer than anywhere else.

That's a pretty bold premise for the second season, to remind everyone that even though The Sudden Departure claimed their souls for a period of years, the reality is that life before that wasn't always so tranquil to begin with and it's about time they remember that, too.

It already looks promising and not as depressing (yet still dire in its own way) as The Leftovers Season 1. We're in!
