The Leftovers Tease: Please Prepare for Final Departure

There's good news and bad news.

The latest tease for The Leftovers Season 3 blows your socks off.

It also starts that niggling feeling that after that dark, slow and somewhat questionable first season, the creative team let loose, and watching them go will be a whole new kind of disappointment.

While snippets of the season play on throughout the tease, a crazed (and calm) flight attendant drones on, giving her instructions to flight crew as they prepare for takeoff.

G'day ladies and gentleman.

As we prepare to board our flight to Melbourne, please do so in a calm and orderly fashion.

While worldwide flooding is expected, we should be taking off before the rain begins.

In the event of cabin decompression, place your oxygen masks over your mouth as we all prepare to take our last breath.

Please be sure to keep your seatbelt fastened, as everything you know and love will soon be gone.

Have things really gotten that dire since we last checked in with The Leftovers?

Whether Kevin and Nora and friends are hoping to escape what's ahead or find some sort of salvation in Melbourne is something we'll learn when we watch, but they look both scared to death and amazed anyone is letting them board the plane, so it might be a combination of everything.
