We think we speak for all fans of The Vampire Diaries when we say the following:
FINALLY.
After a lengthy hiatus, The Vampire Diaries Season 7 resumes this Friday (yes, take note, we said Friday) with an installment titled "Hell is Other People."
It will feature Damon waking up in the long-ago past, greeted by a fellow Civil War soldier who refers to him as a "hero."
What did he do to deserve heroic status? Perhaps we'll find out, but Damon doesn't have much time to enjoy this moniker.
He's immediately handed a letter from Stefan and it relays bad news from home.
Valerie has left him. Their father is drinking. He really misses his brother terribly.
When we last left the Salvatores, of course, both brothers were in a heap of trouble. At last, we'll discover where they were taken to this Friday.
