oo this scene makes me ball every time. johns letter is really said especcialy when he said because i always loved you and i always will.

It was really sweet and I loved John in this episode, although I was never his fan but he has totally redeemed himself and proved that he really loves her.

Elena, It’s no easy task being an ordinary parent to an extraordinary child. I failed in that task. And because of my prejudices, I failed you. I’m haunted by how things might have played out differently… if I had been more willing to hear your side of things. For me, it’s the end. I was crying while watching the scene and John has written a beautiful letter to Elena. I began to cry when John was telling her that it's the end for him and if she is reading this letter it'doesn't matter for him if she's a vampire or not. He always loves her, always had and always will...
Damon: She's strong and crafty and you'll die. Elena: At least I'll die trying.
