Ruben Studdard Charity Concert Cancelled

This is too bad - and may not be a great sign for the upcoming Ruben Studdard album.

Studdard's charity concert on Oct. 13 to benefit the Shriners Hospitals for Children Transportation Fund has been postponed indefinitely, officials said Friday.

Although ticket sales have been slow, Benny Eggler, recorder for the Hamasa Shriners and building manager of the Temple Theatre, said the postponement was "due to scheduling conflicts."

He hopes another date for the American Idol winner can be worked out in the future. Eggler said plans will still be in place for the concert to be a benefit for the Shriners, who attended to the needs of 123,385 patients in 22 hospitals throughout North America last year.

Eggler said the theatre will refund money for all tickets purchased at its box office.
