As rumors continue to circulate over Kirk Acevedo's status on Fringe, Entertainment Weekly can at least confirm that the show is seeking a new FBI agent.

According to Michael Ausiello, producers are currently casting a new female character; she'll be bold, outspoken, quick-witted, and - with this being Fringe and all - the holder of a "deep core belief."
