The NBC late-night debacle has been a prime source of material for David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel and other comics.

Now, ABC is jumping all over the Jay Leno/Conan O'Brien mess for an upcoming episode.

Sources have confirmed to Michael Ausiello that Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron will appear on a spring installment of the series as Bobby Mann, a late-night talk show host who gets killed by... the man that wants his job.

This rival comedian will be  played by Bill Bellamy.

The title of the episode? "The Late Shaft." Also booked to guest star on it:

• French Stewart
• Yeardley Smith
