Shonda Rhimes Sells FOURTH Show to ABC

Already the creator of two hit shows on ABC, with a third coming midseason, Shonda Rhimes has now sold to the network a period hotel drama, TV Line reports.
The Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice creator, whose legal drama Scandal is slated for midseason (this winter), has teamed up with K.J. Steinberg for her latest.
The working title: Gilded Lillys.
The Nine co-creator/Gossip Girl writer and Rhimes will tell the story of the first luxury hotel ever built in the New York City - circa 1895 - and all the happenings within.
The family who owns it, the staff employed by it, and the guests who pass through will all play a role in the project, which currently differs from Grey's and Private.
Steinberg will executive-produce with Rhimes and Grey’s Anatomy producer Betsy Beers, and the project will be based out of ABC Studios and Shondaland.
